Greetings, friends and readers. Thanks to everyone at the Seattle Consortium of Travel who welcomed me to their event on Thursday night.
I opened up the talk with a “Name That Airport Code” game with airline amenity kits as prizes. You know a talk is going to go well when people start getting excited about a bag that contains a toothbrush and comb.
This is the Sunday Store Update, where I post some brief news about the business side of AONC. This week the news is… the Empire is returning!
Yes, indeed. Five weeks ago I released my biggest and best business project ever, the Empire Building Kit.
It was mayhem in mobile World Domination HQ, as J.D. and I set up our own little Apple Store on board the Empire Builder train while traveling through North Dakota and Montana. By the time we reached Portland the next morning, the launch was over.
This time I’m doing it again, but a bit differently. First, there are no 44-hour train rides. No offense to Amtrak enthusiasts, but once was enough. Second, I’m not promoting the launch very much over here. People who signed up on the waiting list (now closed) will hear a few things about it, and I’ll have one post on Tuesday morning when it’s ready to go. That’s it.
Otherwise, a small legion of affiliate partners will be endorsing the EBK on their sites, so I’ll stand back, drink my coffee, and make sure they’re well supported.
Why Should You Care?
Well, you might not, and that’s fine. I’m thrilled that so many of you read the blog from all over the place. I say that I get paid first in nice emails, and then whatever else later. So if this project isn’t a good fit for you, ignore everything on Tuesday and I’ll be back as usual on Thursday.
But if you’re interested in building a lifestyle business—something I define as a business oriented around something you love, with less than three employees and net income of at least $50,000 a year—then you might want to consider picking this up before I close it out again on Wednesday morning.
Oh, and the Reviews
I asked the inaugural EBK owners to share their thoughts on how they’ve been enjoying the project thus far, and they said some very kind things. On Tuesday morning you’ll be able to see exactly what they said, and there will also be a large number of other reviews posted throughout the Internets.
If you’re interested, it will go live on Tuesday morning at 9am PST / 12pm EST, again for 24 hours only before I head out the next day for a big trip.
And That’s It!
OK, that’s a wrap. Thanks for your support. After this one, I’m off to Central Africa and beyond for a few weeks, so there won’t be any other biz news for a while.
Whatever you’re up to, I wish you a fabulous week.
