22 Tour Dates + 100 Free Books: Early Copies of The $100 Startup Are In!

The UPS guy dropped off a big box the other day, and for once it wasn’t an Amazon Prime shipment of cat food and paper towels.

This time it was the early shipment of my first advance copies of The $100 Startup!

Short Version:

1. You can now sign up for your choice of 22 initial cities on the tour. Tickets are free! Come on out and say hi.

2. I’m giving away 100 free books to people who will help with the book launch in May. Want one? Just leave a comment.

The Tour

As mentioned here, I’m really looking forward to going back on the road to meet readers on the second Unconventional Book Tour. The events are essentially a series of informal meetups, where I talk for about 20 minutes and the rest of the night is attendee-led. (There are also cupcakes—at least most of the time.)

Action: You can now sign up to attend one or more stops on the site. Our initial calendar includes the following cities:

8 New York City
9 Boston
10 Washington
11 Arlington
14 Chapel Hill
15 Atlanta
16 Miami
17 Houston
18 Denver
19 Boulder
21 Milwaukee
22 Columbus

25 London, UK

29 Santa Cruz
30 San Francisco
31 Los Angeles

2 Phoenix
4 Seattle
6 Portland

18 Toronto
20 Calgary
21 Vancouver

I would LOVE to see you somewhere. If you’ll be near one of these places, please sign up! (And yes, we’ll be adding more cities later based on demand and availability.)

The Giveaway — Win a Free Early Version of The $100 Startup

We’re sending a number of review copies of the book out to various media outlets, but I’ve also set aside a number of copies for our readers. If you’ve been a part of AONC for a while and agree with our message, I’d love to send one to you.

Would you like to receive an early copy? Post a comment here, letting us know why you want one and what you’ll do to help us promote in May.

What you get: your own advance copy of The $100 Startup, currently on media embargo and not available to the public until May 8—but you’ll get it at least two weeks in advance.

What we need: if we send you one of the early copies, we’d greatly appreciate your help in getting the word out about the book after May 8. When the books go out, we’ll explain more about how you can help.

Coming next: After a long trip to Sudan and Turkmenistan, I’m now home in Portland and working full-time to prepare for the book launch in just 37 days.

On April 16 we’ll launch a pre-order “book sale” where I’ll be fully introducing the book and offering a number of bonuses for early orders. We’ll also be publishing the book trailer and introducing many of the people from the book.

Things are on track! I hope to see you on the road, and if you want to be part of the behind-the-scenes effort, post a comment here.

Update: Thanks, everyone! Our biased judges and feline assistant have emailed 100 winners. Everyone else, I appreciate your support too and hope to see you on tour.

  • Duane Brown says:

Would love to help with the launch in Toronto in June!

When I signed up for a ticket,… it said today’s date of April 2rd, in both the thank you message and the tweet option, instead of June 18th for the Toronto date.

  • Chris says:

    Thanks, Duane!

For anyone else who has this issue, we’re troubleshooting it now.

  • Nicole Haber says:

I live in DC and would LOVE to help with the May 10 event! Let me know how I can help!

    Just let me know,

  • Derek Wyatt says:

I’d love a copy of the $100 Startup to read. Once I’m done, I’ll write a blog post about it and share a piece of it with the entrepreneurs in my C.A.K.E. business workshops in Portland. I love the bootstrapping, scrappiness of the title. Thank you for your consideration.

  • Josh says:

Was surprised to see Calgary on your lists of places to stop – not that it’s not a worthwhile destination, but it usually gets overlooked. Looking forward to meeting up with you there. I will work on bringing cupcakes…. but I’ll need to use my girlfriend’s expertise.

  • Anthony K. says:

    Hey Chris,

I would LOVE to help spread the word of your new book.

After reading AONC, I shared it with a few people who had their eyes open to how they were living. A few even bought their own copies, to keep with them to read when they lost sight of where they wanted to go.

I can help out, however it is needed.

I really with I could make it to Atlanta in May, I just know I won’t have the money to travel there.

  • I would love to get an advanced copy of your book. I am signing up for the Denver, CO date and would love to intro you to several of our networking groups in the area while you are in town. I would promote your book through social media locally and nationally and review it to all the major booksellers.

Let me know if this is something you are interested in!

    Cheers …

  • Aww, you’re not coming to Austin this time around. Of course, I’ll still help get the word out!

  • Chris says:

I was just there! I hope to return sometime, but probably not for a while.

  • Matthew says:

Definitely interested! I’d be happy to write a review for you. The Art of Non-Conformity has definitely played a large role in shaping 2012 for me.

  • Saar says:

I look forward to meeting you in Toronto and am very curious about the $100 startup. I’d love to write a review on it for our web site, Good luck with the preparation of the tour!

  • Joy Hmielewski says:

I would like to read / help promote also. I love your advice! I’m hoping to make to your stop in ATL.

  • I just need to do this!!! And of course, I’d love to help spread the word!!! I have a big mouth 😀

  • Jane Celusak says:

I don’t have a website but I work with college groups in the NYC area. Sign me up for May 8th and I’ll see you in NYC and share info about your book on my facebook page and pinterest page and review it about and create buzz in all ways suggested. Let me know how I can help out.

Thanks, looking forward to it – Jane

  • Alex Tabone says:

Would like to help with the book launch, probably can only do so by blogging about it on my blog and social media accounts. I’m from Malta, Europe, and so can help bring a new/different audience to your writing. Thanks!

  • Amanda says:

I would LOVE to help!! Let me know when and where to be!

  • Jo Savill says:

I’d love a copy of the $100 start up to help me launch more start-ups from my base in Tel Aviv! I’ll review the book on my blog where I write about entrepreneurship, and promote it here in Tel Aviv, the start-up capital of the world, and to my connections in Australia and the UK.

I’d also love any help with our current business, which has only been running for 6 weeks – we have so much to learn!

I’ll just miss you by a few days in London, what a shame!

  • shauna says:

I would spread the word around SLC,UT about your awesomeness!

  • S.C. says:

Why do I want the book? I work in a cube with a view of a brick wall fifteen feet away while I support my wife going to medical school. A book about how to break out and start a small business is perfect.

How could I support your efforts at world domination? I have at least 30 hits a day on my food blog. 30 HITS! I would happily tell my horde of readers, which includes several relatives, how much I enjoyed your book.

  • Shelly Ross says:

I’ll be at the May 30 event in San Francisco and whether I get an advance copy or not I will be telling everyone I know about it, clients and friends alike. They’re all hearing about the World Domination Summit already – and most are very envious that I actually have a ticket. AONC changed my world and I’m trying to share that with everyone. Preaching the gospel of “You don’t have to live your life according to societal expectations, break free and make your life what YOU WANT IT TO BE!”

  • Joshua Zapata says:

I’ve read AONC regularly and constantly entice friends into reading it. It’s not hard either — once they see what it’s about, with few exceptions, they’re instantly hooked like I am. I’d love to have an advance copy of the book to review, absorb, share and discuss. (I’ll admit, I’m probably going to promote your book anyway!)

  • Gordon L says:

I would love to receive a copy of the new book. I would write a view on my blog and heavily promote it on my FB page or any other type of promotion you would require of me next month.

  • Bruce Madadi says:

I would love a copy of your book as I am currently in the process of fleshing out a couple of muse ideas for small start ups. It’d be great to be able to write a review of your book on my blog and detail how I am applying your process to my own start up.

  • Kevin blake says:

looking forward to this book! love to see you come to Bufflo on tour stop by

  • Pete says:

Book is on my wishlist. I follow your blog. Liked you on Facebook and signed up for your email. Good work.

  • Marc says:

I’d really love to get an early copy of the book! I consult entrepreneurs who are in the early stages of business development and this would be another great tool for me to share with them. The Art of Non-Conformity is one source where I get great ideas from and I’m sure the $100 Startup will be another incredible source!

I will help get the word out through my business’ Tumblr where we have almost 2,000 followers, through my website/blog which gets about 1,000 views a month, and on Jonathan Mead’s Trailblazers which I’m a part of!

  • Chris, When you add Salt Lake City to the tour dates, I’ll bring homemade margarita cupcakes. They will be worth the trip. 😉

  • Chris says:

    I’m sold!

  • Sarah says:

I love your blog and would love a copy of the book to take with me on my new adventure in Sweden! Hope you’ll come to Stockholm!

I’m looking forward to reading the new book. And I’m enjoying following along with your ‘every country in the world’ quest.

  • Ooh! Pretty please, may I have an advance copy of your book?

I am an active member in several groups of entrepreneurs and spend time with many want-to-be-self-employed people. Each and every one of them can benefit from it. I’d love to have a chance to read it and then make it the focus of the book clubs associated with these groups.

  • Brad says:

Nice! Can’t wait to read it!

  • Avishai says:

HI Chris, first of all congrats on the book!
Me and my wife are long time following you on ANOC, and other venture like the travel hacking.
We agree with the messages and ideas you promote and we actually started our own business not to long ago as well. So we are also doing, not just reading 
We will be happy to help spreading the word of the book in Toronto and in Israel (and hopefully get the early bird version as well)

    Congrats again!

    Shir and Avi

  • Doug says:

Chris, I’d love a copy of your book but let’s just admit it—I’d end up buying it anyway! I am, however, kinda disappointed that there’s not a date YET in Michigan. Especially, now that I’ve seen there may be cupcakes! Your books and work are just the message people in Michigan need. I’d be more than happy to help in whatever way is needed here in Michigan. Again, I’d be doing it anyway! How about Baking cupcakes…?

  • Michael says:

Looking forward to it Chris! (both the electronic and paper versions)

  • Jana says:

Naturally you can count on me Chris!

  • Nick Danforth says:

I’d love to read the book and will blog about it if I were to get an advance copy. Thanks! 🙂

  • Aaron Thomas says:

Would love to have a copy of the book. Looking forward to seeing you in Atlanta.

  • Cathy says:

You’re going to Milwaukee and not Chicago? You should come to Chicago.

  • Allanon says:

Love one! If nice (and I am asure it will be) a review blog post would be in order 🙂

  • This book would be extremely important to me. I have so many ideas that I think could gain traction, but my biggest problem is acquiring the funds and making the first steps to success. I think this book would help me get started and would give me inspiration to move on something that until now has just been cooking in my head!

  • Darby O'Connor says:

Congratulations! Another book and another WDS! See you there!

  • Sunni Sparks says:

Are there still unclaimed copies of the book? I am interested!

  • Elaine says:

Definitly interested in having an advanced copy of your book! Your first one was a revelation, I’m hoping this one is as inspiring!! 🙂

I would love it if you came to Chicago! I would LOVE to read your book because I am a student in thousands of dollars in debt. I would love to start a baking business and I know your book would be a great tool to help start that.

  • Brent Garland says:

Chris, while I won’t be able to co-host you in DC, I look forward to being able to read your book soon. As the most frequent question I get is “what have you read lately that you liked?”, I am confident your book will be soon my topic du jour.

Also, I’ve got some business ideas bouncing about, so I hope The $100 Startup will give me a little kick in the butt to jump in!

  • JackieMR says:

I’m looking forward to this! Whether I buy or get one of the free copies, I’llbe sure to post reviews on my blog as well as Amazon and B&N. And I’d love to help out if you decide to add Chicago to the tour list.

  • Extragrunty says:

Well I got to see you in Baltimore last time. This time you’ll be in my new hometown, Santa Cruz, and I’ll be flying back from my wedding. Maybe San Fransisco? We haven’t been there yet. Hmmmm….. We haven’t planned the honeymoon yet, so it’s a possibility.

  • Gray Miller says:

I’d love to get an advance copy and review it on my blog as well as Amazon. I have been on the self-employment wagon for quite a while, and I wish I’d had a book like this when I was starting out. I can’t wait to see what you’ve come up with for us this time…

It would be great to hear you speak again on May 8 in NYC and it is my hope that your new book can help me to help myself and others through coming up with a start-up idea that is affordable, unique, and can be of service to humanity in my own small corner of the world.

I gratefully look forward to the opportunity to read your second book and am interested in one of the advance copies, if still available.

  • I am online community manager for Small Business Resource Network in Southwest Florida, and I will write a review for the site of our Network. And i will be able to promote it via twitter to approx 3000 followers mostly interested in online marketing, small business technology, and web development. I do hope that this will be enough to warrant a free copy, however, I would have no problem buying the kindle version and write about it after the official release.

    Take care!

  • Mary K says:

Love your work & enjoyed meeting you on the first tour. Would love to help set up an event in downtown Philly and would promote to my friends, followers and media outlets.

  • Darlene says:

    Hi Chris

I’d love to win a copy of the book, please enter me! As to why I think I deserve it:

1 – I’ve won contests on your site before so I’m a shoe in!

2 – I’ve been doing reviews of books and ebooks on my blog for a while now and would be happy to add one of this book too.

3 – it’s this site, your AONC book and your inspirational message that have gotten me really started in the blogging world. I have passed my AONC book around to several other people and no doubt this new one will make the same rounds!

4 – I’ll be at WDS in July and would love to talk about it with other attendees!

One thing I am disappointed about though is that you have Calgary on your tour and not Edmonton 🙁 Here I could help you plan the event, down there (3 hour drive) I might be able to make it to attend but have no connections to help there.

  • gabrielle says:

I live in Atlanta and would definitely help you spread the word about your Atlanta stop in May!

  • Olivier says:

I just started an online business and I would love some advice (marketing) to get it to growing. I will leave feedback on various websites if I get a copy – any other suggestion is also welcome.

  • Barrett says:

Chris, Pumped about this new book! AONC changed so much of the way I think about life and business — so much so that it helped inspire me to leave the corporate world and set out on my own. I am currently working on launching my company with little money, and I would absolutely love to be inspired by others who have done the same by reading the $100 Startup.

I would so love to be inspired by the book that I would be more than willing and eager to help with the May 15th event in Atlanta. I can do whatever you need help with, and I will promote the event through my personal and business blogs, Twitter, and Facebook. Additionally I can help out in planning or assisting with the event itself. Just let me know what you need!

  • Andrew Brims says:

    Hi Chris,

Would love to get an advanced copy of the book. Will happily review it for Amazon & my blog. Will link to it for my followers in Spain (facebook / twitter “Badajoz English”). And we’re looking to get one or two businesses going this year, so fairly sure we’ll be able to act on it!

    Looking forward to it!

  • Joanne Daudier says:

  • I would absolutely LOVE to get this book because it gives practical information on how to build your dream without a loan or a big bank account. For the little guys and gals. They can make an impact on the world. They can make big, powerful stuff happen. I would love to review this book & give away copies on my blog, which is written for the aspiring young (mainly teenagers) creative entrepreneurs. Thank you!

  • Shavanna says:

I am loving all your articles so far and they are helping me as I attempt to work through the process of starting my own business. I am looking forward to our new book. Good luck on it’s launch.

  • Ratana says:

  • Nelu says:

HI Chris! I came to your Unconventional Tour in Toronto and loved it. Looking forward to this book, and would love to help promote your June 18 event.

Ideas to promote: papering flyers in key locations around town, putting it out on my Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Roommates back as she leaves the house, distributing invites in the top 173 coffee shops in town (there are lots). If you have a mascot costume I can borrow, I will try to run down to the field during a Jays game. Basically, I will let as many people as possible know. If I get arrested, so be it.

  • Luc says:

Hey Chris! I would love to help you regarding the new book launch! Since Montreal is not on your schedule, and since you’ll be in Toronto on the 18th, why not make a stop the day before in beautiful Montreal where lots of reader would love to have a chat with you?

If you need the push, I could find a cafe or a bookstore where you could promote your book (I know a few around the city). If you also need traduction while in Montreal, fell free to ask.

I’ll be sure to leave my personal review of your new book on Amazon(s)/Chapters as soon as I finish my second reading (yes, I need a double dip since you put so much stuff in your books).

    Thank you.

  • Michael Bodnar says:

Can’t tell you how many folks (many young, just out of high school) I have shared tales from LThe Art of Non-Conformity” with! They invariably are energized afterward. I expect to do the same with your new volume, as well as share your entries regularly via social media. Can’t wait to see you on the road! Let us know how else we can spread the gospel.

  • Trish says:

Of course I want one! I loved AONC and loved meeting you on the book tour. I don’t nderstand why I don’t see Halifax on the list of cities though! Such a warm reception from the locals here too. 🙂

  • Christine Cox says:

I have already ordered 2 copies and can’t wait to get my hands on ’em…another copy would be great to spread the goodness around. Good Luck with the Launch 🙂

  • Cheryl says:

I love to read!!! Seriously, I am sure it is loaded with inspirational information that I can benefit from and pass along to others.

  • Justin says:

Hope I can catch you on one of the stops in California.

  • Seth Lepore says:

Are you hitting the Northampton, MA area? Can totally help you out here.

  • Bill Denyer says:

As a senior working on “Thrive at 65” blog, I’d love to preview your book and write a review. Your work continues to amaze me and I pass on your message to all I meet. You’re an inspiration – even to a member of the traditional generation – and it’s never to late to follow your lead as an adventurer. I’m available to help in San Francisco in late May.

  • Jim Griggy says:

I work with start-up businesses on a regular basis. Ideas that can remove (or defer) the capital obstacle have great value in this economy.

  • Sue says:

I don’t have a website or a blog but I’ve been a longtime reader of AONC and would be happy to dish to my 500+ FB friends. I post a daily “picture of the day” which is very popular and FB has rewarded me with a lot of newsfeed coverage and the coveted “likes” 🙂

  • Frank Welzig says:

I will see you in Boulder for sure. I write a Blog for people searching for a new job but I emphasize OPTIONS and your book would open them up to a low cost startup option.
    Looking forward to reading it.
    Frank Welzig

  • Ryan McRae says:

I’d love a copy of the book. I’m heading to Afghanistan in about two weeks and I’d love to use that book to do a start up there just to see if I could. I’ll have a lot of downtime and would love to show how even in Afghanistan with limited resources (especially internet) I could still make it work.

I’ll prove it to you Chris at WDS. Bam.

  • Janis Jones says:

Chris, sorry to not see Kansas City on your list — saw you in Lawrence, Kansas for your last book tour.

I’d love an advance copy of this one to promote on our TravelingWithTheJones blog and in the social media community in Kansas City, San Francisco and Alaska.

  • Annie Brule says:

Totally down for promoting around Seattle, Chris.
As proprieter of a design studio downtown, started in 2006 for about $50, I get hit up all the time for this kind of advice!
Biznik, blogging, and promo at my partner’s downtown Seattle bookstore are what you can count on.

    Annie B.

  • Roger says:

OMG! I think you just Forgot to add Montréal the beautiful on your tour. No worries ill take care of that! Bienvenue dans ma belle ville. So when should i reserv a room? Let me know 🙂 even Madonna is coming this summer!

  • Erin says:

I’m in Mexico but if I can help, let me know! Congrats to you on the book and congrats to the readers who will read and learn from it.

  • Adam Kolosik says:

I think you should stop in Iowa City, Iowa! I’d love to see ya here, or anywhere else in Iowa. I’d be there.

  • Hey Chris, just signed up for your San Francisco stop! I co-own a workspace/gallery in San Francisco, so if you need a venue, or other help promoting the stop, just let me know! I think the space would be a great fit (indie, small-business, artsy) and we could also promote your Art+Money guide at the same time! Either way, looking forward to seeing you in SF!

PS – Would love an advance copy, but that’s probably pretty obvious 🙂

  • Jim Krenz says:

I want one because I enjoy your writing, and because your words make me think. I will tweet about the book’s release and work on ways to make it go viral.

  • Jennifer Bennett says:

I would LOVE an advanced copy of your book! I am so excited for you!!

Regardless of winning, I will absolutely help promote The $100 Startup book among my FB and Twitter friends. I will also be sure to share what I learn from your book on my new coaching blog (launching this week!!!!) and with my fellow Toastmasters and work colleagues (unless reading your book gets me out of this day job even sooner than planned). If you want, I could just start calling random numbers and reading sections of your book to them 😉 I’m very excited for you and can’t wait to watch your success overflow! Congratulations!

  • tony says:

Hi Chris. I don’t know how well you do in London but if you want to send me a book I’ll tell give everyone I meet over here my honest opinion of it. Judging by the content on your website, which I’ll admit I’ve only recently discovered, I’m pretty certain my opinion will be that it’s awesome! Whatever you decide, good luck and see you in London.

  • Nick says:

    Really looking forward to this.

I’d love a copy of the book and the chance to help out in any way.

  • Tonya L. Johnson says:

Would like the opportunity to help out in Chicago. I’m a writer, traveler and have been an entrepreneur just searching for that next start-up opportunity. I’ve facilitated author book signings in the past and would appreciate an early look at your latest book.

  • Shazia says:

I’m in the Wash DC area and look forward to seeing you on the 10th. For a free copy, I promise to read your book to my twin girls every day until they are able to read it to me! (they are currently 9.5 months old). Good luck with the book launch; can’t wait to read it!

  • Aylin says:

Looking forward to your book! Hoping to be in Arlington or DC in May!

  • Having read your blog for about a year now and the Art of Non-Conformity book, you have inspired me to think bigger in my travel and work destinations. I have just come back from a whirlwind trip around Nigeria and had some of my expectations and world view blown completely open. I am now addicted to traveling far off the well worn path and would like to build a business to support these cultural learnings I can take back with me as well as my own video diary and interviews with people from around the world. Traveling has changed my life forever and connected me to others in a way I never thought possible. Thank you so much for all you have given already through your books and blog, it is changing the world one person at a time.

  • Caitlin says:

Would love to help spread the word on my blog, on facebook, twitter and in person!! I’m attending the Arlington VA tour 🙂

  • I would LOVE to help promote your message and review your newest book on my blog where I discuss creative escape. Whether travel or other ways to creatively escape.

Of course that also means a little social media love as well. I look forward to seeing you in Milwaukee next month!

  • Paul M Bauer says:

Congrats on getting the book out. I’m bummed that you’re going to be in Denver on May 18 and Boulder May 19, since that is the time Josh Kaufman, a kindred spirit and author of the Personal MBA, has chosen to hold his Master Class in Ft. Collins.

  • James Tyler says:

I would LOVE an advanced copy of this book. I am a huge fan. I bought AONC close to after it came out, I’ve read it twice, and I read almost every e-mail.

I can recommend the book to my Twitter followers (4200+, @JamesRTyler) and on my Facebook page that has 1000+ likes. I’d also be willing to write a review on my blog and post a video review on YouTube. I have a unique audience of mostly Christians and political conservatives; a demographic that may be under-represented in your current reader base.

Thanks so much for your consideration and I hope to get an advance copy!

  • ashley kujan says:

i signed up for miami’s tour date, but i am hoping for west palm beach! is there any remote possibility that WPB might be added???
i would double the cupcake order!

  • Finola says:

Well of course I want one – I have several others of your ebooks which all help in my never-ending search for creative and workable solutions to the big challenges to doing business from a small island.
I’d promote to the Caribbean through my Facebook, Twitter and blog, but also on through the micro-biz workshops I will be doing in the summer months here in St. Lucia

  • Lindsay says:

Would love to get an early copy. I can review it on my blog, publicize through social media, write an Amazon review and am looking forward to attending the event in Denver!

  • Carl Schanz says:

I would love to help spread the word about The $100 Startup around Cincinnati. I read and reread The Art of Non-Conformity and was able to attend the meet and greet when it came through Cincy. I also bought a few copies online to give a few friends who are graduating high school and college this summer.

  • You need to come out to Silver Spring and Pyramid Atlantic Art Center. We are what you write about!

  • Rob Elkin says:

I’d love a copy of the book!

  • Kyla says:

I’m in Los Angeles and would love to help out with the launch! 🙂

  • liz froment says:

If you need any help in the Boston set up, I’d be happy to lend a hand!

  • Melissa Whalen says:

I have been following your blog for quite a while, and it has been such an inspiration to me. I’m looking forward to reading this book and learning more about how I could make my own fulfilling career out of my strengths, rather than “working for the man” and questioning that decision every day.

I’ll be at your Milwaukee tour stop (do you have a location yet?) and would LOVE an advanced copy if possible. I will be sure to tweet/share on Facebook/email friends in the advertising/PR/marketing world as it gets closer to May 21.

Best of luck to you on your tour!

  • Hi Chris, I’ve been part of AONC for 3 years, have downloaded your manifestos, and bought several of your products, including your first book! I’ll be at your Toronto event on June 18 and finally able to see you live for the first time. I would love to get an advance copy of this second book because even though I’ve wanted to be cubicle-independent for ages, I don’t seem to be able to disconnect from the high wages and relative security of a “job” (even if it’s part time and contract). I want to be FREE! I can help you promote in May by posting on Facebook and letting all my friends know. I’ll also be in France and in Montreal during the first part of May and will tell everyone I meet over there as well. Do you have any “postcards” I can distribute?

  • Chris says:

Hey, I would love a free copy and will be glad to write a review/feature post on my blog (which will launch this month). Leave comments on start-up/freelancing blogs I frequent with your link to the book and/or promo (these blogs allow real links to other sites). I will put in a good word with some very popular bloggers I know who may be interested also in promoting it. I will also provide a review/testimonial for you to use in future promos/ads/whatever… and anything else I can possibly do to further this awesome piece of work and all that you do to inspire us 😉

If I can arrange my schedule… I’ll see you in Atlanta!

  • Dawn says:

Looking forward to this book – sadly I won’t make it to see you on tour. Colleagues at work are going down like flies with stress related illnesses and (recently) heart attacks. The way forward becomes ever clearer!

  • Brenda says:

Looking forward to meetin you in person! Loved your book, The Art of Non-conformity and I can’t wait to read $100.00 Startup!

  • Nicholas Luff says:

Hope we can connect when you arrive in Vancouver. Let me know if there’s anything you might need, and best of luck with the rest of the tour!

  • Irene says:

Can’t make it to London, but hopefully you’ll hit some other European cities some other time.

In the mean time, I’d love to read your book. For free of course 😉

Good luck on the tour Chris, you will Rock!

  • Leila Tite says:

I have been carrying a $100 bill in my wallet since I heard about the book launch and telling everyone I know about what an inspiring book it is going to be. I would be grateful for the opportunity to post a review on LibraryThing to help promote the book once it launches. If I received a copy early, then I could give it to my daughter for her birthday (after I read it first) and then I could give my pre-ordered copies to some needy creative types.

  • Chris,

When are you going to visit Austin, TX for a book tour, arguably the hippest & most literate city in the US?

I want to help you make it happen, free book or no free book.

  • Rachael says:

I’ve been following your blog for a while now. I would love to get a free copy of your new book to promote on my blog!

  • Gregory Berg says:

Hey Chris. Would love to get a copy and help promote the book. I’d do that by interviewing a few of the 50 entrepreneurs that you wrote about on Radio Enso, my weekly online radio show. It’s an hour long, so I’d bring a few of them on for a chat about both “how they did it” and the book in general and how it can be helpful to others. Of course, we’d invite you to pop on a few minutes as well if you had time to talk about its genesis!

Regardless, looking forward to the Tour and WDS in July!

  • Sarah vanWoerden says:

Count me in. I’d love to help you get a spot at our famous Village Books in Bellingham, Wa. We’re easy to get to and always a great crowd! Let me know what Iyou can do. Thanks, Sarah

  • Amanda says:

Love your site and your first book. Excited to read this next one after following along with your progress on your site. I’ll be buying the book and probably a few more copies to pass along to friends. Looking forward to seeing you on tour in Portland on June 6. Also, I agree with a commenter up there about hitting Chicago…Maybe look into Quimby’s out there if you can squeeze it in. Cool place. Anyway, congratulations on the book.

  • Brett says:

Sure hope you’re able to add St. Louis to the book tour. I have been looking at options for helping my autistic son (nearing his 21st b-day) set up a business around his passion for retro/classic video games. The ideas in AONC have helped me frame the situation in the right way, I have a feeling that $100 Start Up will have what we need to help him get the ball rolling.

  • Timm says:

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help and best of luck!

  • Lisa says:

Looking forward to the Vancouver meet-up! As a new and struggling entrepreneur, I’d love a chance to read the book and get re-inspired. I’ll definitely pass the book around to my other entrepreneurial friends in the area…

  • Jean Layton says:

Love you work, believe in your message and I think you need to stop in Bellingham WA after your Vancouver BC date on 6/21.
Happy to arrange the event for you here, be it a book signing or a celebration. Just let me know.
I’ll be mentioning your book on my blog, Facebook pages, Google + profile and page, Twitter and once I have a visual, on Pinterest.
Would love an advance copy to review on Good Reads and Amazon.

  • Tim S. says:

Hey Chris, I’m a big fan of you and your work. The Art of Non-Conformity has influenced me in a very intensive way.

This new book sounds interesting, I’ll write a German article about it, if it’s out 🙂

    With best regards

  • Thea Jensen says:

I bought your AONC book and read it in a night. I have told so many people about your book and blog, it is so inspiring! I also use some of your ideas and quotes in my yoga classes and creative workshops I teach.

I am working on a book myself and also finding a way to start teaching yoga and creativity to kids in alternative high schools. I am very much looking forward to your new book and would love to spread the word to everyone I know. I read your blog and am a member on your travel hacking site, it inspires me that I too, can travel, teach yoga, and write. Thank you for courage and your savvy skills and sharing it with all of us.

Much more success to you, and keep the ideas, books, and blogs coming!

  • Hey, Chris, many congratulations! Now I know I’ll be seeing you not just for WDS, but when you come to San Francisco at the end of May. 🙂

I’d love to help out, and if you make it this far down in the comments, I’d also love a free review copy. I can promise to do a book review on my blog. (Don’t bother clicking it now–I’m ironing out a server error with my web host at the moment.)

Two books down…how many to go? 😉

  • Trevor Gates-Crandall says:

Wishing you were coming to Detroit metro area

  • Gina says:

Just signed up for the Los Angeles date!
I’ve been a follower not only of your journey but also of your message. It’s been a little less than a year when I decided that I need to follow my passion and my heart to the lesser traveled road. It was a frightening transition but oh so exhilarating at the same time. Since then, I’ve been introduced to so many like minded independent people that have helped me design my every day and my life.
I would love to get a copy of your book because it’s aligned with my new path which is starting up a new business in helping nurture and cultivate the inner creativity, strength and compassion in our youth. I’ve already read The Tower and have shared it with others and so I’m sure this book will touch not only me and my path but others as well in our tribe.
    Thank you!

  • I’ll be talking about it to everyone, locally and around the world -focusing in Mexico, Spain and Latin America-.

Mexico is on a stable and growing economy, more and more of my friends are involved in startups or on the thinking/planning stage (as myself). So I’m sure my book recommendation will land in fertile ground.

After I’m through and a few local borrows I’ll leave my copy it in a book-exchange/hostel were like-minded travellers will pick it up, and with a legend to promote similar action. — With luck on our way, my copy of your book could be read by 20+ world explorers in 6 months.

  • Sharon says:

    Much congrats!

  • Melissa says:

Hi Chris – Sad you won’t be in Chicago but happy to help in Milwaukee! Let me know what you need –

  • Holly says:

I am very excited about this book!! I make jewelry part time (aside from my fulltime gig and single motherdom). I’ve got a case of the “what nexts”. Inertia. I feel stretched thin. I’m going to try to get to Columbus, since you are sadly skipping Indianapolis. Happy to help in any way!

  • Al Smith says:

Hi Chris. Would love to help support the book launch. Any way I can. Look forward to meeting you in Atlanta. I might be in south Florida, by then. Not sure. If so, I will see you in Miami. Appreciate your feedback and input from emails and the way you genuinely CARE.

You continue to “Influence & Inspire positive Change”

Best of luck with the book, tour and all your endeavors. Congratulations.

    Take CARE.

  • Mar says:

An advanced copy of the book would be amazing. I have a few tentative ideas for a $100 start up. I would promptly read the book, get some (no doubt amazing) tips and then start up – hopefully within a week. I’d then write a review and a progress report.

  • Lorra says:

I’d love a book! Help a ninja out!

  • Kelly says:

Chris, I read your Art of Non-Conformity book during a kinda blah time in my life. It totally inspired me again. If there’s a will, there’s a way! It can be done! I don’t have to be stuck in the corporate world forever. I live in Phoenix and would love to meet you in person on June 2. I have lots of fellow designer friends and I’ve been telling them to read Art of Non-Conformity. I’d LOVE to get a copy and read the new book! :O) Thanks!

  • Ashley F. says:

I’ve been a longtime reader and am a frequent user of your travel hacking tips! I’d love to spread the word about your book (which I will be purchasing for some friends) on my blog as well as via Twitter (@las_dos_ashleys) and Facebook.

Bummed that you are not coming to Minneapolis (as of yet), but hopefully I can get out to see you on one of your other stops! Good luck with the launch and tour!

  • Jay Moffitt says:

I’m a boring middle-class WASP. Law degree, with a daughter in an S.E.C. football-power program. Show the power of your “change the world” program by showcasing me as a convert!! I’m not your average change-the-worlder…. there’s no greater example than a non-typical example.

Hope I get one of the 100 free books.

Constant reader and long-time subscriber… only part of this tongue-in-cheek.

  • Brandina says:

I would <3 to win a copy of your book! I've been following you for a little over a year now and I consistently find your posts/articles quite inspirational. I've even gotten my nieces reading your blog 🙂

  • Michelle says:

Chris, just discovered your site after watching a book review for The Art of Non-Conformity by Laura K Roeder on YouTube. I would love to receive an advanced copy of your book and will definitely help promote the tour and book through all media channels available, regardless. I am signing up for the Portland date since it is the closest.

  • Richard H says:

So doesn’t look like Austin is on the tour? Have to see about trekking to Houston. Looking forward to engaging on this new book Chris…ties in well with a mobile app biz Im starting.

  • Brad Bonner says:

My advanced reader copy is sitting on my desk right now – so far I am really enjoying it. Your cover is much prettier than the uncorrected proof’s.

Chris you are my hero in everything you do.

  • Daisy Chain says:

I would love to read the book and maybe find some helpful tips in it.

I would talk about it on my Blog and/or Youtube Channel. Also I could help with the German Translation of it. Sadly the Tour is too far away from me so this would be another reason I would love to get the Book.

  • Mike Tinnon says:

I will look for you in Texas. Please consider me for receiving one of your free books. I recently signed up for your email / blog updates. I am impressed and inspired by your posts!

Mike Tinnon – San Antonio, Texas USA

  • John Meussner says:

Would love an advanced copy. If its 1/10th as insightful as AONC it’s going to be a great read!
And Chris, you’re going from New England to the DC area and skipping over Philadelphia…what gives!? How bout adding another stop for us in the DE/PA/NJ tri state area?

  • Brandina says:

I forgot to mention what I’d do to help promote the book launch in May. I would read the book myself, then offer to give it away to one of my blog’s readers. I would also post once a week to get some discussion going on some of the tips in the book, but without giving away too much. I love to share great info with my followers.

  • Mark Tisdale says:

Would love to help you pimp $100 Startup! Our main site has been expanding its coverage for over a year (it’s how we started). We average about 65,000 Uniques a month which isn’t too shabby and would love to help out!

  • Westrow says:

Hey, London on the 25th! Be great to see you and, even better, to help spread the word beforehand, on and offline. I love the AONC emails – the home of great quotes and always challenging, exciting and inspiring advice. Keep on keeping on!

  • JP Scheu says:

If your can see your way to coming NORTH of Boston, we will welcome you in Portland, Maine.
It is nice here in ANY season, but many prefer the summer and fall. Good luck with the tour.

  • Chris Harvey says:

I am looking forward to seeing you in Atlanta.
I will read the book, and then hand it off to e next person riding the train in to work with me and extract a blood pledge to come see you and pass it on.

  • Katie says:

I am excited to attend in New York! I could bake muffins – muffins are like cupcakes, but better! (In my humble opinion)

I would also greatly appreciate a copy of your book; as I finish my last, very intense year of school (a lifelong goal of mine), I am marshaling resources to plan a start-up strategy so I’m ready to go post-graduation, when I can give it my all. Thank you!

  • Vicki says:

Happy to lend a hand in Calgary! How can I help?

  • Brendan McAdams says:

Love the site and your work, and have been actively applying it to my current business.

Let me know how I can give back!

  • Martin S says:

Looking forward to another fine read Chris! I’m in Seattle and you can count on me for a review and inviting friends out to your visit!

  • ben capozzi says:

Would love to help, and will do so advance copy or no. =]

I’m bringing vegan chocolate cupcakes and enthusiasm to the Chapel Hill event. I’ll be happy to blog and tweet about it all, too, regardless.

Mostly want to be involved as more than a fan in order learn more about the BTS for when I launch my own things.

    Keep being unconventional!

  • rick says:

will be there on the 8th in nyc… if i get a free copy ill make sure you sell a million copies :p or whatever help i can offer you

  • Peg Samuel says:

Yes, I can help in NYC. 100% Spread the word. Love your philosophy & authenticity.

  • Will be seeing you in Miami next month!!! Looking forward to meeting you and spreading the word on another one of your amazing works!!!

Will do marketing for free books 🙂

  • Fantastic and unfortunate all at once because I was so looking forward to you coming to London on this tour but as I write I am sitting in Lisbon Airport waiting for the flight to Dakar and that’s where I will be on May 25. I hope you have a really fun time in London, see you in July.

  • Brittany says:

Thank you for writing the $100 Startup! I can’t wait to devour it! Hopefully see you in Portland!

  • Chris

Looking forward to YUL (Montreal) being added to you busy schedule. Don’t let the French language trick you. This is THE start up city in Canada! 🙂

You can do it. I can help.

  • Jarrod Boston says:

I’d love to get a free copy of the book. I enjoy your emails, and I’m looking forward to reading the book.

  • Julie says:

    Congrats! Wonderful news!

I’d love to promote the launch of $100 Startup, on FB and my blog. If I got an advance copy, I’d read it and write a review on my blog from the perspective of a PhD student about to finally graduate and do… I dunno… maybe use $100 to get started 😉

I’d also like to see if this could be useful for my friends in the Rupununi of Guyana, where I did my research on Wildlife Clubs. Lots of bright, inspiring, fabulous friends there with great ideas. A book on how to earn a living – unconventionally – could help folks stay in their communities instead of migrating for work.

  • I’d love a copy too! Ideally, I would read it, post a review on my blog and tweet the hell (well not that much, but at least once or twice a week) out of it…I’m also planning to come to your reading in Portland and have already offered to help on the signup page for that. I’m excited to read it.

  • Katrina says:

Cool! I would like to make a blog post about the book. Looks awesome!

  • I believe there are more than 100 people vying for the goods that beat me to it. But we can’t receive what we don’t ask for. So I’m asking for the book. Your site has already set me on my path much quicker than some of the others I’ve tried.
I’ve directed people to your site, and would love to direct more via word-of-mouth and my facebook/twitter network. My personal site is also taking shape-many thanks to yours.

    I’ll see you in LA,

  • David Lockhart says:

I would love it if you had a stop in the Philadelphia area. I have signed up for the New York date just in case you can’t. It will be a nice warm up for the WDS in July. I am working on my own little business already and this will be good to see what others are doing and how they are going about it.
Would love a copy early, but I understand others might have a greater need then myself.
I’ll look into the cupcakes. How many people at stop??

  • Tom Owens says:

I love my AONC book. I want this title, too. Your first book transformed my worldview. Your second book will empower individuals, reinventing this economy one vision at a time.

How can I help with $100 STARTUP?

    1. I’ll toot the online horn for you, from my blog to all the online review sources.
    2. Skype chats at Iowa libraries. You can still address groups while juggling the cat food and paper towels in Portland. This model could be copied nationally.
    3. The Central Iowa gig. We’re not on your dance card…yet. Here’s the place for bookselling and headline-making, as I write from the crossroads of two Iowa universities.

Put me in, coach. I’m ready to play!

Would love to promote the book if I get an advance copy! I’m a San Francisco-based portrait photographer and I’d love to produce a product lookbook for this that will surely resonate with your audience!

  • Pam says:

Love your blog, and the book looks great, can’t wait to read it…Pam

  • Erin Margaret says:

I would love a free book to share with some of my students and our local small business development center. I can’t come to any of your book tour cities, but Ill be doing by best to spread the word from the arctic circle!

  • Chris Ramsey says:

Would love to read your book, I really enjoy your BLOG, as I have started 3 businesses and love to travel. Pity your not coming to Australia.

  • Hollie says:

Looks like I’m a little late to the “I would love to get a book” party.
AND you are going from NY to Boston with no stops in CT so I’m not at all sure how I could help promote.
That said, I sure could use the info asap as I’m filled with ideas yet I lack capital and things are getting ugly…
Good luck with all you do. Love the blog!

  • John Hall says:

Congratulations on your new book Chris.I’ve subscribed to your website for about 6 months now, & it is one of the most original, unique & inspirational websites out there.I’d be thrilled to win a copy of your new book ‘The $100 Startup’.I hope you’ve visited Australia as iam sure you’ve got many fans & devoted readers down here.If you havent visited my country in your travels i hope you will soon,as it would be much appreciated.

  • I live in St. Louis, Missouri . . . Unfortunately, none of your tour stops are close to me.

I’d love a copy of your book because I keep hearing about “do what you love, and the money will follow.”

I’m marching forward, but don’t dare look behind me: the image of bills and coins creeping up on me is too scary!!

  • Helder Silva says:

    Hello Chris
    I want one book because:
1- I know I’ll apply the knowledge in the book.
2- I’m a fan of your work (long time subscriber)
3- I live on the other side of the Atlantic where:
a)economic crisis is about the most common expression and your work can help me make it a forgotten part of my language
b)I can be the first “evangelist” in Europe and help translate it to Portuguese

I’ll help you promote the book by:
1- word of mouth – and I deal daily with a lot of people
2- post a review in all my social profiles (facebook, g+, i can even make an illustration to my blog, a video about it for my vimeo and a photo to my flickr)
3- best of all, I’ll use it to succeed and say everyone I owe it to you for believing in me!

  • Patrick says:

  • Omar Hasan says:

I want to use the book to better my life and help other people. I would promote it via twitter

  • lawanda says:

I could totally help with the launch in Houston! I’m a former Rice University student and I have connections at Rice ‘s and university of Houston’s business school and Undergraduates.

I will also do a book review on youtube to prompt interest.

  • Linda says:

Excited to take part in this inspiring journey. Wishing you great success!

  • I would love to have a copy of your book! I am starting out a small business idea and I know that this book will give me great insight and inspiration to keep going! I am taking action, small steps towards reaching my dreams and I want to help and inspire others to do the same with their lives. I will use various social media tools to spread the word about your awesome book.
Thanks so much for everything Chris! Best wishes with the launch! I hope you make it to DALLAS! 😀

  • Definitely interested in reading your book and promoting it to the New Orleans startup community. Given all the press we’ve had lately about our burgeoning startup community, including a very recent article in Time Magazine, I think you’d be very successful with a book tour down here. Either way, love reading the site, and keep up the fantastic work!

  • Amanda says:

Looking forward to seeing you in Denver! 🙂 I’ve been looking forward to this book!

  • Sue Painter says:

I want the book because I’ll use it to foster visionary leadership for micro-business owners – which will go bottom-up to change how we live and work.

  • Karyn Wagner says:

I am what is now called commonly a “serial entrepreneur” going back for a few decades now. I need this book– b/c I have DONE this book more than a few times. I began one of my NYC restaurants on a cash advance from AMEX! Cheeky.
I just finished my 3 city tour of SUCCESS BOOTCAMP RX– helping alternative doctors market their practices. Smash success.
Can’t wait to see you in July in PDX.

  • Q says:

  • Looks like a great read! Hope I win it 🙂

  • Scott Webb says:

I’ll not miss the Toronto stop! Nice you’ll be there in the summer instead of a -20 Celsius winter day!

I’m good on the book. I’ll get it and get you to sign in TDOT.

  • Victor says:

I hope to meet at your Chapel Hill Talk. Looks like a great little book.
    Thanks for sharing your journey

  • Mark Lange says:

Would love a copy of the book. Looking for some inspiration to move from the 9 – 5. Another great read I’m sure. Thanks.

  • Mandy says:

I decided not to count the comments but there sure looks to be more than 100. You are such the popular kid. 🙂

  • Chris says:

It’s not on a first-come, first-served basis! We’ll be picking 100 from the total group.

  • Kae says:

I discovered your blog just today, and have been scarfing it up….I’m a LOT older than you, have a good educational background, lived an adventuresome life, raised some great kids, but when it was time to plunge back into the workforce to do my financial part all I have hit is resistence. I don’t fit conformity! So, yeah, I am always doing SOMETHING with hopes my “start up”–big or small–takes. I like to be able to make financial choices that are above the base level of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Thanks for the encouragment here! And yes, I’d love to read you book.

  • Looking forward to reading the book and seeing you on the tour in LA.

  • Barbara Peter says:

Chris, I would love to receive an advance copy of your book. Why? I live in Michigan, where I teach Financial Literacy classes to the unemployed. Promoting your book to my students would be a wonderful way to give them hope and assist them in getting back on their feet.

  • Scott says:

Would love to help you in Portland. Hoping you’ll autograph the book for me. Thanks.

  • Elaine D. says:

I would love to receive this book. I live in the Phoenix area, (in Gilbert). What bookstore will you be at in June?

  • Dear Chris this is the time where I must go through that one final push and move my business idea from my head to reality. Coming from Bosnia and Herzegovina might also be a plus to choose me 🙂

By the way, big congratulations to you! I wish you success with the book and your world conquest, just few more countries to go!

  • Benoît says:

    Hey Chris,
Looking forward to sharing my book to everyone in Montreal. I think your website and your book have a great message and I will for sure use facebook and just talk to my friends to promote it.

  • Leanne says:

Your original book and blog have helped me change what I’m doing. Would love a copy of the book to promote “down here” in Oz.

  • Hi Chris,

I just signed up to help with publicity for the DC reading, and would love to get a copy of the book. I really enjoyed the Art of Non-Conformity, and am happy to see that there’s a follow-up to it!

  • Chris Campbell says:

Congrats on the book. I would love a copy (I’m in Australia) and would be happy to help by using social media, particularly Facebook. I also teach at a university and am happy to let my students know about it. (oh and I have lots of friends who live in the States).

  • See you in Seattle on June 4th! And in the meantime, I am really looking forward to getting my copy of the book on or around May 8th (according to Amazon). A free copy would be great too as I could use it to help spread the word, but based on the comments above, there are plenty of others with great reasons to win the prize.

  • Hook me up, dude!! 🙂

  • Shana says:

    Hi Chris

I’ve been following your newsletter for a while now and always enjoy the various thoughts and experiences you share with your readers. I was surprised to see London on the tour schedule and have signed up and look forward to hearing more in person. I also work at a Uni in central London and can help promote the book and perhaps offer a meeting space if required. Just let me know how I can help and I’d be happy to get involved. Shan

  • Michele says:

I would love to check out your new book! I loved your advice in the Empire kit. I could help translate the book into Spanish if you’re into that kind of thing…

  • jeff noel says:

Chris, count me in. You’re an inspiration. Gutsy. Courageous. Just what the doctor ordered. Rock on.

  • Élan says:

Hi Chris! I so wish you were coming to Minnesota. I hope I’ll get the chance to meet you someday. If you’re ever in MN, I would be glad to help in any way possible!

I’d love a copy of the book. I happen to be a recent college graduate who has worked an entry-level 9-5 job for a while and realized it’s not for me. I have a lot of ideas the urge the start something! Your book comes at the perfect time. I’d love to recommend it to all my friends who are in the same situation as I am. I’d also review it on my blogs. Finally, I’d tweet about it and post about it on Google+.

    Thank you for reading!

  • Rachel says:

A copy of this book could not only change my life, but could change the lives of the many young college students I work with as a therapist and career coach. I’d love to help spread the word of following your passion and doing the work you love!!

  • Anna says:

Congrats on your book! I look forward to reading it. Love your blog!

  • Diana Garrett says:

You are either very brave or insane to tackle London in May this year – what with the Queen’s Diamonds Jubilee, the Olympics and Paralympics, and threats of strikes from various unions throwing everything into chaos (seriously, the place is already a madhouse with the events months away, I’m glad I rarely have business there!). As a northerner I must protest there are many other, far better places in the UK for a great meet-up as a London meet-up cuts off a lot of people. A more central location like Derby, Nottingham or Newcastle would be more accessible more people (or maybe one of the other countries in the United Kingdom — England takes far too much credit for the rest).

As a long time follower, I’d like a copy of the book as I begin taking the first steps into planning my own business (my goal is to be able to support myself and my family by the end of the year). I can help with the book launch by rallying both my kin and kith back home in the States as well as broadcasting to the rooftops here in the UK and trying to organize a northern group to come see you if you have to do it London.

  • Holly says:

I would love a copy of the book! I’m assuming I’m too late to get a free one at this point…but fingers crossed! 😀

  • Liz L. says:

I am really looking forward to this book. Your advice is always helpful.

  • Elizabeth says:

    Hi Chris-
I’m new to the site and just started subscribing to your newsletter. I’d love to help out with the 5/14 event in Chapel Hill, if you need it. I live locally and know CH pretty well. Can’t wait to read the book!

  • Ita Udo-Ema says:

Can’t wait to see you here in Phoenix.

  • Meredydd John says:

Congratulations on the impending book launch!

Why would I dearly love an advance copy? Well, in June I’ll be leaving the cube world. I don’t have firms plans (or jello plans) yet, but it’s the right thing to do.

And so the timing of your book is perfect.

As for helping behind the scenes — you’re not coming to Austin so I can’t help there. But I’ll be blogging about my “corporate world to next chapter” transition and this will certainly be a resource about which I can blog.

  • Wendy says:

    Hey Chris,

I really love the ideas from your book, and now follow your articles via email updates. Based in Melbourne, Australia, I will love to help out when you get over to the Southern Hemisphere!!

  • Rebecca Scott Boddie says:

Many thanks and I love this revolutionary idea of the $100 startup, since I have several great business plans but am underemployed…I will be honored whther or not you give me your book, and I offer my writing talents to help promote your book, your web site and your other resources. I am working to empower myself, and other women (and men) who want to live meaningful lives and find their true vocation. i believe in fair trade, right livelihood, changing the status quo if it’s not working, and encouraging others to do so too.

  • Elizabeth says:

[[See the previous post by Elizabeth for the reason behind my Whoops!]] A couple of places just said “leave a comment” but then I scanned down and saw “tell us why you want one and what you’ll do to help us promote in May”. Ok! A) I’d love a book because I am absolutely at a crossroads career-wise and am toying with pursuing my own thing which I have some very solid ideas around but lack the financing to pursue. So I am town between another job and my own venture. The book seems like it will give me good guidance in helping me make this decision. B) I’m a local to Chapel Hill (work in the area for 3 years, lots of local connections) so could both be on hand and also garner some people power to get a strong showing on 5/14 in CH. I also Tweet and would also promote the book tour, especially the 5/14, locally. Thanks!

  • Delores says:

I can’t believe you turned me down on Alaska in the summer! But I’ll be happy to see if I can get the local bookstore to carry your book. And maybe they’ll even let me use it at school for my business class; that would be interesting…

  • Courtney says:

Would love to help launch your ideas in Oregon!

  • Hey Chris, I work next to the University of Miami in Film and Cinematography, and near Midtown Miami in web design. 🙂 We work with many people in startups, entertainment, and art/music here in the Miami area and would love to share your story Chris!

  • Amanda says:

Amazing amount of support. That is awesome. Your new book looks amazing. Can’t wait to read it. I am in the process of researching micro business for helping end property. I think your book will be huge in that thought process.
    Congratulations and best of luck.

  • Look forward to the event in NYC. Happy to report that I haven’t sat in a cubicle (or office) for over 10 years now…! Hoping to keep the streak going… and going…

Happy to help if I can….!

  • Jana Bouc says:

I’ve been following your blog and recommending it to many others for quite awhile. I’m about to leave my day job within the next 8 months to begin my life as a full time artist and have been making the changes and taking the preparatory steps to support myself without a job. I would be happy to read the book to learn more ways to do so, and would be happy to promote it on my blog which I started in 2006 and currently gets about 20,000 views a month (and growing). I can also promote it in

  • Kimanzi says:

I want this book because it deals with the exact message I’m spreading on my blog everyday. The idea that we can chase our dreams when we stop making excuses and take action. I know that’s what the book is about: taking action and I would love to be a part of this movement.

To get the word out I would do a book review post, I would ask 10 blogers friend to either link to the post or feature the post on their website. I would share the book on all my social media pages and even do a youtube video about the book. I would tell everyone who listens and a bunch of random people on the street, I might even go street preaching!

  • Megan says:

    I lied!

I will be in NYC the weekend yr in Houston.

Please, please, please find a way to come to Austin!

I know Betty Jean and I promise we love you here!

  • Aurore says:

Come back to Australia Chris, would love to see you here! Or I can use my miles from travel hacking to go and see you in the US 🙂

  • Christi Daniels says:

Would love to review an advanced copy of your book and help promote it via FB. There are no scheduled book tour stops near the Ozarks, but luckily FB has a global reach!

  • Mitch says:

Unfortunately Australia’s not on your book tour. I have had AONC for over a year and I have passed it around to a few people…but I have always asked for it back. I had to order it from the US. I am currently researching ideas for home/internet-based business so `$100 Startup’ would not go astray. Good luck with the book tour wish I was there somewhere.

  • Yannick says:

Look forward to read your book; your 1st one rock and decide me to do my plan and would leave the cubicle life in about 8 months but would definitively appreciate some inspiration

  • Marcia says:

I can help with promotion before you get to Colorado, but unfortunately, I’ll be out of town that week. I’d like to get your book so that I can harness some of my wild ideas and make them come true. The fact that I got laid off last week makes an even greater time to make it happen. I am pretty familiar with most of Denver and can get to Boulder easily.

  • lilli says:

This is so exciting! I can’t wait to read the book—and it would be fantastic to win an EARLY copy!

  • Reid says:

I will help you any way I can for your Los Angeles event in May. I bought your first book and got a lot out of it. Looking forward to reading the next one and seeing you at the event.

  • Katie says:

Congratulations Chris! A book in basically a year is amazing. I would love a free copy especially since I’m currently abroad and who knows when I’ll see it in stores here. your book will be sure to inspire many more start ups.

  • Erin says:

I was laid off in January, and would appreciate the opportunity to read an advance copy of your book. My hope is the books contents will assist me in developing my own small business, that will be gratifying to my soul and my checking account.

I am an amateur photographer and would be happy to take as many photos as you need! If you are on a budget and need lodging for your party please contact me. I would be happy to assist.

Thank you so much for your positive emails and inspiration!

  • Jenya Abakumov says:

Long time fan, look forward to meet May 8th in NYC. I will help any way i can to promote your book and blog. Good deeds need to be spread to everyone.

  • Peter says:

The blinkered world that I know needs to hear the hopeful vision that Chris embodies. I can help spread the word in Los Angeles and I have circled his date here in late May.

  • Dave says:

Please come to San Diego! I’ll be glad to help out!

  • Seema says:

Can’t wait to read your new book on my trip to Southeast Asia, sorry I’ll miss you in LA!

  • Raina says:

Hi Chris! I would love to help promote your book. A lot of people I know are going to feel the sting of lay offs and downsizing and have been looking for guidance on how to begin their own business. I’d love to throw you a private ‘club’ meeting where you can connect with some of my most well-connected friends in Los Angeles – a handpicked group (travelers, writers, not-yet entrepreneurs) who are fed up with the options they’ve been given and are eager to chart their own paths. The gathering would be low-key, full of fun people who’d spread the word for you in circles of like-minded voyagers who are itching to create change in their lives, but don’t know where to start.

  • Ish says:

Heya Chris! So when are you dropping by Singapore again? I’d love to be in your welcoming party! Tell me how I can help. 🙂

  • Tomislav says:

Hi, Chris! I have been a member of our little group for a while now and would love to review the advance copy. I can help with an honest review from a perspective of fresh entrepreneur. If you have interest in distribution in this part of the world (The Balkans, SE Europe) I might help with getting translated and published. Let me know.
Also, when you come back to Croatia you’ll have a place to stay for free! 🙂

  • I will buy the book if you don’t send me one, but if you do I will definitely FB, tweet, blog, and review the book on Amazon and iBooks if it makes it there. I’m excited for some motivation and direction as I venture down the internet business road. Thanks Chris!

  • Anna Blanch says:

I’ll see you in London at the launch there – though I’m actually living in Australia now (so i’m looking forward to your announcements of launches here) – Newcastle (great community of entrepreneurs and artists who would get a lot out of the AONC and this book) or Sydney would be awesome, though I’m sure you have contacts in Melbourne too. I write about the arts and for academics and this kind of book challenges these niche communities to think outside the models that have been generated over the last 100 years!

I’m happy to review on my blog and post on third party sites, promote via social media networks etc.

  • Damon Klotz says:

As somebody who talks about the art of non conformity in all of my talks on career advice, social entrepreneurship & digital marketing I’d love to help out with a review and book giveaway (after I’ve read it of course) at my next talk.

  • Kitty Brown says:

I loved the Art of Non Conformity! Can’t wait to get my hands on the $100 start up!

  • Lynne says:

I know two people who will absolutely be using this book to start their own businesses! Why not come to Edmonton? It’s only a quick hop from Calgary.

  • Matt Weilert says:

Congrats Chris! Would love to get a copy and would love to support you/volunteer in Houston. Keep me informed on events/tasks to help out.

  • Rachel Gold says:

YAY CHRIS!! So exciting! What a whirlwind tour- make sure to take plenty of deep breaths….

I would love to be the lucky recipient of an advance copy, and will for sure spread the good word!

Sending joy and fun-loving energy from L.A. (not Florida… I decided not to move there after all! Thanks for the tip…things really do work out exactly as they should 😉

  • Estella says:

Yay!!! I can make it to the London book tour on the day before I leave for the Summer! And I’ll take photos!
I’ll share, share, share any book of yours that shows up in my mail 🙂
    So excited!!

  • Logan Couce says:

    Can’t wait to read this.

  • Sharkman says:

Hi Chris, would love to Skype interview you and post up on our blog and FB. Your message is concisely aligned with the core beliefs of our readers. Having the book launch would be a great highlight piece. Let me know and happy adventures. Cheers, Sharkman

  • TrevorML says:

I could sooooo use this book… barely have $100 free at any time and the mortgage is only growing instead of shrinking 🙁 and I would so love to get out of this cycle of being an employee and instead determine my own future… would be great to see you in Adelaide Australia but somehow it did not make it to your tour list 🙂

    cheers from Oz

  • Christina says:

Chris – I would LOVE an advance copy so that I can have it with me on May 9th in Boston – I’ll be traveling from Rutland, Vt – about a 3 hr trip – I am so psyched!

  • Joshua Reber says:

I would love to get a copy of the book 🙂 I would share about the meeting at my Community College at a meeting with the Photography Club, mention the book speaking to many of my peers, go to some of the larger groups and hand out flyers and willing to do whatever else I can to help promote the website and what your movement is about.

    Thanks Chris!

    Joshua L. Reber

  • Felisa says:

Chris I wish you were coming closer to me in the south as I would love to see you. Have a great tour.

  • Joshua Coon says:

Been a member for a while and am a big believer in unconventional thinking. I’ll bring people out in Denver!

  • Carolyn Barndt says:

I can’t wait to read this! See you in Denver on May 18!!!!!

  • Yeefang Xiao says:

Looking forward to the new book!! I guess this the book when I was bugging you with emails 😛 that you said you were working on your next book! I’ll try inviting friends to go with me to Toronto! It will be so cool to see you!!

  • Chris, I would love to get my hands on a copy of the new book. I feel it is something my readers would be interested in. I’m trying to reach out to young leaders and encourage them to take bold moves. There’s not much that is bolder than starting a start-up.

I’d be willing to do a review on my blog and, if I follow the book, a walk-through of what I did on my $100 startup.

  • Jonathan says:

    Hey there,

I’m a long time reader here in Phoenix, Arizona and I’d love to help promote the book release (:

  • I’d love to read this book since it’s very much the way I started my first business and how I’ve done what I can as I can with my more recent businesses, that are actually bringing in money.

I don’t have a huge following, but the people who do pay attention to me, actually pay attention to what I say. I’d be happy to promote the book through my two blogs, and through social media attached to both blogs.

As for the tour, you just don’t get quite close enough to me in Kansas for me to be able to attend one.

  • Daryl says:

Would love a copy, and would be happy to review it on my consulting blog. Not a lot of readers, but those who do are very interested in being on their own. You are already on my list of recommended resources.

Look forward to seeing you (again) in Phoenix. All the best…

  • Jamie Maltman says:

I’d love to help with the Toronto event – it was great meeting you when you toured here for AoNC. Even more importantly I’d love an advance copy of the book and a chance to help you promote it here in Canada and beyond. As someone who has sold my big business and started several smaller ones in the past year, and am in the process of helping several of my relatives do the same, I have some good contacts and credibility to help you promote an idea I wholeheartedly endorse. I have a few ideas of some specific groups to target that could really benefit from this, that I’d love to help. See you in June!

  • Wish you were headed to Daytona Beach or Orlando, Florida. Would love to get in on the action and get a cupcake too.

  • Patty Keeler says:

I love your message and it is just the kick in the a$$ we need. I would love to read your book. I will share your site with everyone I come across! I have just signed up for your newsletter and already started! I am excited you are coming to NY! Thanks!!

  • Jessica says:

I’d love to see you on your book tour but live in Australia! I’m hoping to grab an advance copy of your book and to promote you to some people you might not otherwise reach.

This is a journey I’m starting down with eagerness, and I can’t wait to share my successes and inspire others to do the same.

    All the best!

  • Daniel says:

Hello Chris, I live in Scotland and I’d like to get a free copy of your book because it may inspire me in my daily life and I’ll promote your book in May by advertising or reviewing it via my blog or Facebook. Thanks 🙂

  • Brian says:

I’d love a copy of your book! I’ll tweet about it forever.

  • Kira says:

Hi Chris! If possible, I’d love an advance copy of the book (I’ll read it either way though). I’d love to read it before you come to Arlington, but unfortunetly, that’s also AP exam week so I may not finish it in time. Receiving a copy in advance would ensure completion! 🙂

Thanks for the wonderful blog and books!

  • Hey Chris! I would love an advance copy of the $100 startup! I think I am lucky because you are releasing it at a time when I need it most; I am working on a website here in Korea that should be up and running soon. I am an English teacher here in Seoul and besides tweeting and facebook mentioning your book to all of my followers, I could also write about the lessons learned from it on my blog about traveling and eating …this is essentially the scope of my new site. Anyway, you have inspired me to create passive income and see the world. After all, the world is too big to spend most of your time sitting behind a desk or working a job you’re not passionate about!

    Rock on!

I’d love a copy and look forward to promoting it.

  • Have been a HUGE fan for a long time and would love to review your book on my site ( and interview you on my blogtalkradio show (The Word Cafe) – all the best biz authors are there! Oh, and could you add a Silicon Valley/San Jose location to your tour? We SVites prefer not to have to drive to the City, LOL (they’re cerRazy there). I will help find a location if you want! Glad to help coordinate.

  • Jennifer says:

I have your AONC book – it’s now “well-used”. I get bored with many books and don’t finish them. I read your book in 2 evenings. Since then, I have told MANY of my friends. In fact, I just told 2 co-workers about it this morning (before I saw this contest).

I was laid-off in March 2008 and my husband injured his back in April 2010 (hasn’t been able to work since then). The past 4 years have been transformational! I’m working on plans to launch several ventures – truly following my passion! (During this time, I’m doing part-time/temp contract work.)

I will definitely write about your book on my new blog, “Your Authentic Journey – Live Your Life, Leave Your Legacy”. Also, I’m happy to promote it in any other way – FB, Twitter, review on Amazon, etc.

Since I’m trying to launch a new business on a very minimal budget (in stages), this book would be AWESOME to read – and SHARE!

Jennifer – Minneapolis, MN (please visit Mpls sometime)

  • Dow Ford says:

I’ve heard that The Velvet Underground were only able to sell 1000 copies of their first album, but all 1000 of those buyers started a band. I’m not within 500 miles of a city on your tour, but I’ve got the music. I’ll start a band. Dow

  • Amy Johnson says:

consider coming to Evansville IN! Thanks!

  • Katie Karambelas says:

I’m a travel agent in Greensboro, NC and a big fan 🙂 If you have any free copies left, I’d love one! I will try and spread the word as best I can through the travel community… I am having a baby in May (the 17th is my due date) so if I haven’t had it yet, I will try and come on the 14th in Chapel Hill but I will definitely spread the word about the book either way!

  • Daisy says:

I would love a copy of your book – for my daughter, not for myself. She is 25, a photographer/artist, and a talented writer as well. She has the entrepreneur spirit. When she was 7 years old, she ran a lemonade stand down the street from Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers.

I will contribute to promoting the book through my blog, Compost Happens; through Facebook, Twitter, and Plurk; and by writing a review for sites such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

  • Angela says:

    Congrats Chris!
Looks like you have plenty of help, but I’d also love to help with the launch with a review copy.

I’m on the staff of a non-profit sustainable travel organization that works to inspire people to find inspiration and challenge in their travels while considering the larger impacts it brings. I’d love to feature a review of your book on our blog and in our newsletter as a way to empower our community to think outside of the box in re-designing their lives, (as many of them do when they come home from transformative travel) in order to be able to explore the planet more, as well as live out their own passions back at home by building their own businesses.

  • Amanda says:

    Are the groovy socks included?!?

  • Chris says:

    No socks included with pre-orders.

On second thought, all orders of 1,000 copies or more will include a free pair of awesome socks.

  • Jennie says:

Dude, I love your philosophy and your wisdom. Would love to read your book! I can definitely use some guidance!

  • Dennis says:

Looking forward to reading the new book!

  • Sean Rogers says:

Pleasantly surprised to see Chapel Hill on the list. I live there so if there is anything I can do to help Chris let me know.

  • Brooke says:

I would LOVE a copy of your new book!! I’d tell everyone I know about it and write a review. A free pair of awesome socks would be pretty awesome too!

  • Ric simmons says:

I was very inspired by AONC. My oft-referred to tome opens naturally at the Characteristics of Good & Bad Businesses. Since reading the book I am well into a fulfilling business that will assist me in my income based retirement.

  • pj says:

    hey Chris,
I would love an advance copy of the book. I’m moving to Asia this summer and would love to promote your book there.

  • Amanda says:

Whoops my iPhone is on delay. Just the right colour to start up my new music business!

  • Amy Mayes says:

I’m there in New York City, camera and cupcakes in hand! Chris, you’ve been inspiring me 2010 when I left my job as a probation officer to start a photography business. Huge AONC fan, here!

  • Oliver Solano says:

    Hey Chris,

I live in the NY/NJ area and would love an advance copy of the $100 Startup. I plan on starting my own startup, and believe this book would serve as a great wealth of information on understanding approaches that I could either use or tweak according to my specialty. I will tweet, share, write a review, and give you my feedback on the good, the bad, and what could be improved once I’m done!

  • dana says:

at 37, i just used my first education (as an Arabic-to-English translator working via email while jumping homes and countries) to help fund my second higher education (in a 5-year Doctor of Chinese Medicine programme). i took a huge leap in going back to school & pursuing my passions…but now, as a new health practitioner, i need to take another big jump & get down to “business” (meanwhile repaying a whack of student loans). The $100 Startup would be an excellent start. Oh, and i run 2 Google Groups & companion websites for Chinese Med students & recent grads…so if i get the book, they’ll be getting reviews. cheers, dana

  • Joshua says:

I would like a copy of the book as I am a senior in college and well be joining the real world again very soon next year, this would be a great opportunity to really field test the concepts within the book and how they work for people in my situation. It would also provide the boost needed to get my blog going with such a great topic to start with.

  • Benny says:

I thought I left a comment but I didn’t see it so I’ll try again!

Chris, any idea when venues will be announced? Would like to try and go to a city since no stops in Florida.

As for the book, I’d love to review it on my blog, Get Busy Living. What you write about would definitely be inspirational. No excuse to say we don’t have enough money to start a business.

No matter what, will buy a copy and definitely spread the word.

  • Chris says:

Hey Benny! Venues coming soon – ETA 2 weeks maximum (likely sooner).

Re: Florida, well, I do have Miami on the list. Last time we were in Tampa and that was fun too.

  • Denise says:

Bummer…that’s what I get for going out to dinner with the husband, I miss this great offer. Oh, well. I’ll see you in Atlanta with cupcakes and my camera.

  • Linda G Andrews says:

I can[t wait to get me hands on your book! I love your attitude and writing~!

  • Karina L. says:

Chris, thumbs up on a new inspiring resource for us all, I’ve been reading your blog for a couple of years. How about a stop in Indianapolis, IN? I would help promote your book through LinkedIn, I’m part of various local networking/business groups. Please consider me for your pre-publishing promotion. Thank you & good luck!

  • brian says:

You should come to Sarasota or Tampa Area.

  • Austin Amos says:

Since you’re skipping WV this trip, you need me to spread the word for you.

  • Lon says:

loved your first book, and would be glad to help promote

  • Linda Swirzewski says:

I’d love to read your new book and share with everyone, as well. I’m in-between NYC and Boston – care to stop in Hartford? 🙂 Congratulations on your success and your new Book!

  • Elaine says:

I’ve been wanting to buy this book! But even more so, would love to get it for free! I live in Santa Barbara… and would love to help out if you have an event here… but could potentially travel to LA too.
What do you need help with?

  • Paula McPherson says:

New to AONC but I’ll be in Milwaukee on the 21st. So much for me to learn. I REALLY appreciate the opportunity!! Are you feeling the transition in the Midwest too??

  • Christina says:

Chris, Congratulations on this book! I have looking forward to reading it for a long time now.

  • Would love to help with the book launch!

  • Laura says:

I’m doing a book giveaway for World Book Night on April 23rd and would love to do a promo for you in our small rural town in May. I’d put together an event for people to come out, intro them to your site, your ideology (from what I’ve gleaned from your site and manifestos) and encourage the creative folks in this town to buy your book. It’s the kind of thing we need here–there are very few jobs, but lots of very hard workers and creative types who love living outside the box. If I were to receive an advance copy of the book it would help with the event.

So far you’re not planning any tour stops in Idaho, but one in Twin Falls or Idaho Falls would probably bring out a good crowd. Boise is the bigger town, but people there have more money and aren’t as into “out of the box” approaches.

  • Albert Spradley says:

I the span of 30 years now I have come to the point where enough is enough. My family is strong but struggling. I find it inspiring to find many people on the Internet that actually think about the same way of life that I do. I would really appreciate the opportunity to take advantage of the book that you are offering. To put into layman’s terms I am looking to make huge moves in the next year of my life and to assist in this venture I take what you produce and promote it through the flourishing business that my wife has got off the ground while we where struggling. Is it along shot yes but as one of my biggest inspirations said “do the impossible”. And this is the impossible to me because it is not in my comfort.

  • Juli says:

    DCA, ATL but no ORD…really??

  • Chris says:

Alas! Or at least… for the moment.

  • Lei says:

Hello from Manila! Congrats on the whole tour thing and the $100 book and everything! Woot!

I’m a relatively new follower of your site. It’s been very inspiring since I made the jump from corporate slave (hur hur) to freelancer a few months back. I haven’t read any of your books, but your AONC book is on my wishlist. I promise I’ll get to it soon. Hopefully I’ll get my hands on the $100 book soon too. I sense it is oozing with magic goodies that will inspire me more to live the life of my dreams. 🙂

  • Sandy says:

I will promote you on twitter, show up in Toronto and bring friends. I would love a copy of the book because I am starting a business with my daughter and we could use the inspiration. I think I have every thing you have ever written. In the past year I lost sight of the dream and went back to corporate. I am looking forward to launching some thing new in 2012.

  • I’ve been a fan for Donkey’s Years & took a photo of your first book in Stavanger, Norway?! And am a Travel Hacker too?! I would love to get a hold of an early copy of The $100 Startup as I’m in a Startup Kinda Town of the South–Lafayette, LA?! There’s a Creative Economic Summit coming up this month & this would be great timing–also know a few folks who are working on Startups here & others who are trying to get going with funding via Kickstarter…so of course I would pass it on?! Will do my best to show up the 17th of May in Houston, TX as well to be a party to this 2nd Unconventional Book Tour as I missed the last one?! Thank You?!

  • Jessica Trites Rolle says:

You need to stop in Minneapolis (or a nearby suburb)! I’ll do your photos if you come…and help provide treats for the crowd at whichever bookstore you choose.

Yep, I’d love a copy of your book. Why? My parents and brother are small-buisiness entrepreneurs and my husband and I have intended for years to make a leap, even if part-time, into our own lines for the joy of it and – hopefully – for the chance to be the makers of our own desitiny (and still pay the bills). For me, it’s also about being able to be a deeper part of whatever community I’m in and live off the rewards of being independent through the dollars I could bring in and the added connectivity I’d gain.

I found AONC through Zen Habits, and what a find it is ~ thank you for all you share: advice, insight, travel tips, common humanity, all with an honest and genuine humanity. So refreshing, so vital to my mental and emotional wellbeing as another source of sanity in my cluttered inbox. Thank you!

  • I’d like an advance copy of you book and will write a review on my site. I’ll see you in Milwaukee.

  • Roman says:

Chris, SO stoked for The $100 Startup! Just finished reading The Art of Nonconformity last week and am still pondering, dreaming, and planning my unconventional life. Thank you! I’d like an advanced copy of The $100 Startup because I recently started doing digital marketing consulting as a freelancer, and it’s a whole new world to me. You’re book would give me the much need foundation, tips, advice, and mentorship-like teaching that would help me in my new freelance business. When I finish reading it, I will post a review on my blog and on Amazon, as well as spread it through my connections on Twitter, Linked, Facebook, Google+, and Pinterest – a network reaching thousands of people who will be exposed to your book.

  • Georgina says:

Hi Chris! I’m new to the blogging world and am also writing an ebook. Just signed up to see you in Boston in May and am pre-signed up for your new book and so very excited! Can’t wait to take tons of notes, but am willing to take photos if need be.

I retire from the military in 2.5 years and am ready to start being a solo-preneur. Congrats and can’t wait for May! Rock on!

  • Frances says:

Hey Chris!!! I would love to help- just let me know when! Also I’d love a copy of your awesome book 🙂

  • I can (or can’t I) make something with $100 in Indonesia? : )

  • Maxime says:

    bonjour chris,

congratulation on your book! i need this now! i’m in beginning stages of developing my design business. i’m very motivated, determined and in spirit. i was born with an entrepreneurial soul. i can contribute to your book launch by spreading the word telling every one i know. i can’t wait to read it!

are you coming down under at any point? mebourne?
thank you for all the inspiration you share with the world.

  • Joe says:

Will shamelessly promote on Facebook and retweet as well as review on my very influential (with my family) blog. Good luck with the tour!

  • Taylor says:

Hit Me Up! I can’t promise you publicity, but I’ll read it really closely!

  • Naras says:

Very eager to look/read the book.

  • Shannon says:

I’m skeptical BUT open to new perspectives. I just might get your book to see what its about. I’m always peeking over the fence & considering other possibilities. I hope you tour is successful. By the way, when I read something good (sound/valuable advice) I promote it like crazy. Take care!

  • Chris Dille says:

Free is good, but I get the feeling your biased judges won’t take that as a winning answer.

I want the book because I want to make a difference. Sure, my 8-5 job pays the bills, it’s a decent place, but I want more out of life. I want to marry my passions and skills in writing, tech, and politics – and perhaps even throw in some psychology and philosophy – into something I can offer to the world. I want to leverage my creativity, empathy, and insight. I want to share my knowledge and experiences in a way that people can learn from my successes – and more importantly, my failures. I want to build my legacy project.

To that end, I will definitely tell my friends and family about your book. I’m also looking forward to seeing you in Milwaukee, and I’ll bake cupcakes, muffins, and/or anything else that has a promising recipe (requests welcome!). My options are otherwise limited for the near future; my Twitter is somewhat barren, I don’t have a dedicated blog yet, and I’m still trying to figure out what I can offer the world. I’m open to suggestion, but honestly, the best way I can advertise your book is to live by its lessons.

See you in a month and a half!

  • Pam Spencer says:

I love it when UPS leaves a surprise at my door, and would also love getting a copy of THE $100 STARTUP. I told my starting-a-new-venture son about your book as I was taking him to the airport. Asked him if he wanted me to order one for him, thinking it would be here a couple of days later. Oops! Didn’t realize we can’t get it yet. He and a friend are starting a business. I’m retired and now want to start two new businesses. Would love to help promote the book. I’m in L.A. and am looking forward to seeing you May 31. “Life is a great big canvas. Throw all the paint you can on it.” -Danny Kaye

  • TC says:

See you in Miami. With cupcakes. =)

  • Josh says:

I am trying to start a new business and this book would be great for the information. I read the Art of Non Conformity, and it has persuaded me to find a muse. I think I have one now I need to find the best way to make it happen without breaking the bank. I have also starting some minor travel hacking recently and have enjoyed my free fight and hotel in Seattle and have another trip planned for San Francisco in May. You are a try inspiration and if I get a free book I will pass it along to another friend just like I did with you other book. I love spreading the word of practical advice that works. Send me a book please, I need the advice. Thanks for what you do

  • Benny says:

    Thanks for the reply Chris!

Somehow I missed Miami on the list, but I’m in Jacksonville, which is equally 7 hours to Atlanta or Miami. So will have to decide which one to attend or make a mini vacation out of your book stop somewhere else. Thanks!

  • Denise Hernandez says:

Just found your site and already feeling inspired to start my own business. I signed up for your DC date and am able to bring cupcakes 🙂 if needed. I’d love a copy of your book if possible to get me going. Keep rockin’ Chris!

    -Denise H.

  • Rob says:

AONC was fantastic, and I’m sure The $100 Startup is going to kick serious butt! I can’t wait to read it.

But Chris, why no Chicago stop? There are tons of people out here that I’m sure would love to go to a meetup! If you do make it out here, I can promise two things: amazing, mouthwatering, delectable cupcakes, and bringing my friend Tara (she’s a big fan of your work).

I can’t wait to leave a review for Amazon. 🙂

    Cheers man!

  • Chris says:

I know… sorry man. Hopefully we can add ORD up soon.

  • I’d love to help out any way that I can! I already promote AONC like crazy on my blog, and would love to share The $100 Startup with my readers. See you in Phoenix!

  • Leslie says:

Signed up for SF, looking forward to seeing you again and reading your new book. Would love to get an advanced copy so that I can start spreading the word! I attended your last book tour in SF for AONC and brought 2 friends along. AONC really opened my eyes and every word touched my soul. This time around I can bring more friends and will put an APB on social networking sites. See you then and thanks for coming to SF!

  • Sueann says:

Hey Chris! I’d love a copy of the book. I’ll be happy to spread the love, more and more of my mates are getting the startup fever and this will be something they’d die to read!

  • Robin Christy says:

Your writing has helped me immensely to make a career change and to try what the naysayers against. My courage has been uplifted by your example of living unconventionally. Thank you!

  • Angelene says:

Have been waiting for this book, would love a copy. I shifted from a full-time job to freelacing a couple years ago and know a whole bunch of people who want to strike out on their own but don’t know how. Will promote the book to them and all others on my FB and Twitter.

  • Melissa says:

Have camera – will see you in Phoenix on June 2nd.
    Awesome-ness squared.

  • Nate says:

Hi Chris, congrats with the book. I have been following along for a while now, and would like to request a review copy of the book. It’s important that people realise just what is possible, when they put their mind to something. I’m sure your latest book, like your other products, will break down another perceived barrier to entry, in creating a life of greatness. The world needs more messages like this.

I would be happy to promote the book via my online presence, and help with the grass-roots campaign you are creating. It’s a message that is important – you don’t need a huge amount of money to create a business, you need a plan, drive, and determination.

In any case, best of luck.

  • Peter Kelsey says:

Would love to help out in Los Angeles but am working May 31 so unless it is the evening it may not be feasible. Would still love to get a copy of the book.

  • Great.. another book I have to read. I’d definitely love a copy. Looking forward to it Chris. All the best and continued success.

  • angie says:

Agree with Rob. Bummed Chi is not in the first round. Would love an advance copy. Looking forward to reading it, acting on it and sharing the results.

  • Jennifer says:

I am an ESL teacher at an adult school. My students were quite adept at captializing on entrepreneurial opportunities in their home countries. I want to use your new book in my ESL classroom as a resource for classroom reading/writing/discussion AND as a bridge between their past business experience and viable economic growth in the immediate future (instead just being shoved in to low-end jobs because of their limited English skills). We will post the lessons and the student “results” inspired by “$100 Start-up” to our ESL blogs. Thanks!

  • Mark says:

Hope you are coming to Oz (Melbourne to be more specific)

  • Can’t wait to read the book! And to see you in Denver. I’m speaking that night but should be done in time to come hear you!

I’d love an advance copy and am also happy to buy one. Either way, I’ll probably do a video review, a Goodreads review and a blog post encouraging the ultra-lean start-up – I did it myself so I know from experience it’s possible.

I will spread the word like almond butter on toast with honey drizzled on top. It will be delicious love all around.

Congratulations and have fun sharing your book with the world!

  • Hey Chris, I’ll be getting your book no matter what, but if I get a free copy that’s great, too! I’ll be sharing it with my readers and fellow Tenacious Ladies.

  • Hey, another crazy thing – the illustration on the cover of your book is nearly identical to the one on one of my business cards. I’ll show you. 🙂

  • From one Chris to another (cheesy, I know, but still true, lol)

If I get a copy of this, I’ll help promote it by:

On my blog I planned on dedicating myself to a different *make myself better somehow* task each month. What better way to kick it off than a $100 Startup?

I will literally put everything to the test for a month (minimum) straight, tracking my journey using multiple mediums (text/video/poetry, even!)

I am all over social media (facebook, twitter, G+, Posterous, tumblr, Pinterest, Lockerz, StumbleUpon & Youtube, to name my main ones). At least twice a week, in some way (hence, multiple mediums) I will refer to this book through each site throughout the month.

I value everything I’ve been gifted (ask Jacob Sokol or Brian Johnson *shameless name-dropping is a necessary evil here to prove the point*).

I may not boast the largest number of followers, or even a decent online footprint, but for the people I do know, my referral means a LOT.

I would buy it if I could, but I can’t just yet; I promise in public to pay for it when I earn the moolah to do so (or use the funds to pay for someone else’s copy who is in a tough spot like I am right now).

    – cmathewjones

  • Phew…the book is already a sell out just reading all of these. I feel very late to the party…not too late…I hope.

The Gold Coast in Queensland Australia is waiting for you. We have a group of eager bright young people from around the world studying entrepreneurship at Bond University who would love to hear you speak, and buy your book (s). My cousin is the professor of this class…I have spoken there myself. You would love it and they would love you.

Plus, I have my own tribe, nothing as big as yours, but serious fans.

It is such a powerful and positive message at a critical time in the world, that $100 bucks can get you a start up. I did exactly this (which I have only just remembered) when I was 24. I wanted to travel..just graduated, had no money, borrowed $100 bucks from my parents and made Christmas Cakes and plum puddings (its an English thing)..sold $5000 worth in 5 weeks and spent 4 months in the USA.

Keep it up Chris, your doing really great work in the world, so so lovely to watch your trajectory,

  • Fiel Sahir says:

I’ll be sharing my experiences of how reading your books has opened my mind with my friends and spreading it on the social networks I use from Facebook to Twitter and telling my friends regardless if they want to hear about it or not, and of course, I’ll attend the event and tell everyone how it was and convince them to do something with their lives.

  • Charles Gao says:

It’s tough getting a job these days, even when I’m a freshly graduated student. A book like this would really help me get to where I want to be! Even though I think you could still do pretty well just by reading all the things on your blog.

I’ll definitely be talking about it and bringing some friends to the event! I’m not the most influential or the biggest influencer, but hey, I still have friends 🙂

  • Mac says:

I want to read this book, be inspired by the message, and convince all of my friends (and myself) who are working in Corporate America that it is possible to get by, and perhaps even excel financially, by bringing your ideas into fruition, and that it is possible to do so with limited resources. If it turns out that we can go through with what is written in this book, it would be a great testament to your philosophy!

Please send me a copy! Thanks!

  • Harishri says:

    1. Have been following AONC for a while and would love a copy of the book
    2. Happy to help with book promotion but I don’t live in the US/UK, if you do a global launch ( including India), I would be kore than happy to help!
    Any plans for eboks?

  • Nicola says:

Looking forward to seeing you on tour, Chris! Happy travels.

  • Beth Barany says:

Chris, Loved your AONC book. Sorry I missed your visit to the SF Bay Area last tour and will miss your tour date again, this time.

So, here’s the scoopereeno: I help authors create and sustain successful author careers. You’re a great example of that, and I’d like to feature you and your book in my blogging, and spread the word on the useful tips you share, and spread the mojo!

  • Clint says:

I’d love a copy of your book. I’d help promote by offering to co-host an event for you in Los Angeles. If we held the event at USC, where I teach, I’d leverage its communications channels, where possible, to promote your event, and leverage students in our online communities program to attend, help, take pics, etc. I’d drive attendance by my personal and professional networks.

  • ajit says:

i am AJIT from INDIA.looking forward to the book.sad you are not touring here.
looking forward to the book and your ideas.

  • Chris says:

    Hi Chris

I’m all signed up for the London date. Very excited that you’re making it to the UK on this book tour. I’ll be there helping out.

    Can’t wait for the book.

  • Mike says:

I hope to see you on the tour in NYC. Also looking forward to reading the book. Let me know how I can help promote.

  • David says:

I’d be very interested in a copy of the book and I could help promote it in May on the private job board for travel bloggers that I run over at GeoPosted.
    Good luck with the launch!

  • Jonathan says:

I would love to promote your book, and receive a free copy in advance!

I stayed home from,”work” when your first book came out just to read it. I was that excited about it.

I will promote your book on all of my media outlets. I have almost two thousand followers on instagram. Many friends on Facebook who would be interested. And tons of followers on my business’s twitter (which I started because of inspiration from you!) i believe in you and you have helped me more than you know. I want to give back to you! 🙂 good things come to those who work their ass off for something they believe in and want!

  • Leah says:

Chris, I’ve signed up to bring cupcakes to the London event on the 25th but am happy and available to help more.

  • Nandor says:

I would love to have a copy! I can help you promoting the book in Hungary and I can also help with translating it into Hungarian 😉

  • Sheyi says:

Great to see you are doing great things Chris.

I was thinking if you ever thought of coming to Africa, Nigeria precisely.

I’d love to have this book in order to help me accomplish much of my business aims. Funny enough, i wrote something like this on my blog about investing $100 on niche sites.

  • Nandor says:

I would love to have the book! I can help in promoting it in Budapest, Hungary.

  • Nate says:

It’s cool you’re coming to Toronto! Would love to read it, get inspired, and… make the leap.

  • Jamie House says:

Please send me a copy of your new book,I have tech and Art networks in London and America where I could promote your book.

    Look forward to reading it!

  • Noch Noch says:

i’m happy to spend the money to buy the book when it comes out – i trust in its worth and value. I won’t fight for a free copy. but if after your book is translated and you are ready to come to Beijing and other cities in China, including Hong Kong, please let me know. I’m happy to help out or at least connect you to some sources for your book talks etc, if you don’t already have a list
look forward to reading the book

  • Janet Boyer says:

Hi Chris! I’m an Hall of Fame Reviewer and I’d LOVE to read and review your book! I’d also Tweet, FB, and Google+ about it, too….as well as include it on my blog. I have a Klout score of 61 (it’s been as high as 72) so people tend to listen to me when I recommend a book. :o) Best wishes with the book launch, and please let me know if I can be of further assistance–especially with social media.

  • Maria Thompson says:

I can’t wait to read your new book! The Art of Non-Conformity is one of my all-time favorite books, which i always come back to! And the $100 Startup is just what i need to begin something new on a tiny budget, i’m sure it won’t disappoint!

  • Mitch says:

I’ll add this to my fb wall, tagging my entrepreneur friends, as well as share this at a few of the entrepreneurial meetups I attend.

  • Anita says:

So delighted that you are coming to London!! *does a little gleeeful dance*

  • Esther says:

I will help you spread the word in the Netherlands! Would love a copy!

  • Robert says:

I’ll help with the book launch. I’m in Sweden and have some ties to a startup/entrepreneurship program at Lund University and work in the same building as a startup incubator.

  • Michael says:

    Hello Chris,
Would have loved to see you at one of your book launches. Do you think you will be making it to Frankfurt when the translated version gets launched? The title of your new book is an inspiration and a liberation in itself. I read AONC while I travelled one time around the world on my honeymoon, and it caused me to hit the ground running when I got back, and did my own 250 Euro start up (the price of a netbook). Keep on inspiring the free spirits, your work is so important for us all.
    All the best.

  • Ulla Raaf says:

Always waiting for new input from you. Loved the Art of Non-Conformity, because it’s my way of wanting to live my life. I’m very curious about The $100 Startup. What about promoting your ideas and books in German-speaking regions. I’d love to assist. Many thanks.

  • Would love to have book and promote! See you on the tour!

  • Craig Coggle says:

    Hi Chris
We’ll be there in London – the last time was Singapore! Good luck with the book and the tour. My wife has offered to do cakes for the London meet-up so do let us know if that’s a help.
    Warm regards

  • Ezgi says:

I’d love a book! I live in Istanbul and would love to promote your book to anyone and everyone who’d listen. I already do with your blog! 🙂

  • Robert Williger says:

Chris, I am looking forward to attending the Washington, DC event and happy to assist. I pre-ordered the book as soon as i saw it onAmazon but would love an advance copy. Besides spreading the word in the usual social media ways as active duty military I would love to speed the ideas among other soldiers. Many are always looking for ways to make additional funds getting sucked in by mlm and penny stocks; also with the draw down going on many are looking for their next step in life and feel the traditional job is not for them.

  • Kenny Azama says:

I want this book because I graduate from college in 3 months and I don’t want to be a part of the rat race. I’m a college student at UC Irvine and if I get a copy of this book I’ll post your website/blog/info about the book on all of my social media outlets so as to reach as many UCI students’ (mostly graduating seniors’) attention.

  • Angelika says:

I’ve been following you for a while now, and congratulations on your new book!!! I just wanted to say that I’ve sent some info about the book and your tour and a link to your web-site to an agency here in Moscow (Russia) which organizes such kinds of events. For example, they’ve just recently organized a seminar with R. Sharma. I hope you don’t mind? And I hope that they will get in touch with you.

  • Samantha says:

What a pleasure that you will be coming to my hometown, Columbus, Ohio. How positively absurd and genuinely appreciated. I would love and make use of a copy of your book because I am well on my way to living my dream and have already made use of many of your suggestions (from your blog musings) on my way. I believe I’ve been excellent word of mouth advertising for you amongst my friends, family, and little circle of people and will continue to do so as I forward your blog postings and book tour travel dates to my posse. Best of luck. Can’t wait to see/meet you soon!

  • David says:

Love to help but unfortunately I’m not in US. Keep it up !!! It must be a excellent book..

  • Kyle Bassettk says:

I’m in! Longtime follower and can’t wait to see the new material!

8 will attend NYC and can help get the word out through the various meetups and unconventional entreprenuer gatherings I attend and host.

    Can’t wait!

  • Diana says:

I’m glad to see you will make it to London as I’ve been reading your blog for a long time. I’d love a copy of the book and will happily promote it on all social channels and to my friends. Look forward to meeting you next month.

    Kind regards,

  • Roger Ellman says:

As I’m in the UK – I’ll say best wishes, do well, sell well and help well! I have a strong feeling this will soar and get great sales.

  • CURTIN says:

need any help promoting in China?

  • Nick says:

I have a roomie who would really benefit from the book. Right now, he has the dream, but not the drive. I think a “roadmap” would help him see that you don’t need to launch a business with $70K in your pocket.

  • Julie says:

I know you’re planning to hit all seven continents, but I only see USA, UK, and Canada in your tour list… any chance you will make it out to Eastern Europe later in the tour? We’d love to have you here in Cluj! (And I can’t wait to read the new book. I’ve been mulling over several new business ideas.)

  • Freebuffalo says:

I have enjoyed reading your articles and have recommended it to several people. Being a traveller myself, I enjoy your travel stories a lot. I am looking forward to your party in 2013. Your articles made me think and gave me the confidence to build a website to advertise my skills (Chef skills, totally different from my current profession – Scientist).

Honestly, I don’t want to make up a reason for why I want a freecopy of your book. Certainly, I enjoyed all your writing so far and hence would enjoy reading your book.

  • Werner says:

Besides FB, blog and Twitter, I took an old-school approach. I called 5 local libraries about the book and asked them to put it on their purchase list when it’s released. I also called 3 area B&N stores asking them when they would have it available. I will call all 3 again a couple more times over the next week which flags the book and to give them a sense of demand.

  • Terri R. Munro says:

Hi Chris! Long-time reader here in the ATL who would be happy to review the book and promote in the East Cobb Mommy circuit. I am a mom of 2 (soon to be 3) and am passionate about how entrepreneurship can empower working mom’s through unconventional work systems. Please pick me! 🙂

  • Terri R. Munro says:

Hi Chris! Long-time reader here in the ATL who would be happy to review the book and promote in the East Cobb Mommy circuit. I am a mom of 2 (soon to be 3) and am passionate about how entrepreneurship can empower working *moms* through unconventional work systems. Please pick me! 🙂

  • I would love to be among the first to enjoy your new book. I have been sharing your book “The Art of Nonconformity” with others and can only imagine the insights you have on breaking free of a cubicle world.

I am a photographer in Columbus, OH and I think a series of tweets with photos taking your book on a walking tour of sorts would be a fun way to promote your book. I’d love to find out what type of ideas people in Columbus have for their own $100 start up and introduce them to other AONC readers with a short tweet and their photo.

  • I am a photographer and would love to help promote your book tour date in Columbus, OH by coming out a photographing the event.

  • Dave Brett says:

Just signed up for the London meet up, looking forward to it!

  • Ordinary Bob says:

——>>> if you send me a copy of your book, I will read it and blog a review of it to my paltry FB page “likers”, and subscribers to my blog. I ont have the kind of traffic you have, but my focus is on work/life balance, and whatever else I think about. Much of my traffic comes from the wizardry of my SEO guru. My blog has a Google page rank of 2.

  • Kathy says:

I would love a copy. I’m recently retired and want to start up…something, LOL.

  • Katrina says:

Love your stuff, but would love to know how to correctly pronounce your last name. Looking forward to Arlington on May 11th.

    – Katrina

  • Chris says:

    Thanks, Katrina. It’s Gil-a-beau.

  • Laura says:

Looking forward to reading your book and hoping to make it to your Tour Date in the ATL.

  • Well, Chris, you have way more than 100 comments, so I doubt I’ll be able to receive a free book. But either way, best wishes to you for the book launch. I’m sure I’ll be paying attention and tweeting various things from it if the mood strikes, since I definitely enjoy your work. Thanks for putting such great thoughts and energy out into the world!

  • Ted Canfield says:

Chris, hope you add a Michigan location. If not, will make the drive to Toronto to see you. Will promote your book on social media and of course the old fashioned way–word of mouth.

  • Jen Gash says:

Cooee. I’m in the UK and am in London that day doing a talk at lunchtime in Covent Garden, but would love to come before and after and help if need be.
Email me if you need me to do anything specific..
Looking forward to meeting Chris… oh major inspiration of mine …
    🙂 j

  • Thank you, thank you for the many times your blog and work has encouraged me to keep on keeping on. In these confusing times, you make it seem so obvious and simple to throw yourself into something, anything positive and heartfelt and results will come.

I would love to plant that message (combined with good food of course) in the minds of young people, especially those handicapped by parents with addiction. Your message is just the hope and call to action that could make a difference…

  • Debbie E. says:

I absolutely can’t wait for this book! I’m thrilled that you’ve taken your wonderful and unconventional thinking and put it in the grasp of the rest of the world. I would happily recommend and promote this as I am a firm believer in thinking outside the box. “Watch me fly”! 🙂

  • Stacey says:

Since I’m on the “other side of the world” I’d love an advance copy to spread the word down here in the Southern Hemisphere where I’ll be sure to Facebook, LinkedIn, log and good old fashion LEND the book to anyone and everyone!! Please!!

  • Greg Stacy says:

I am always on the lookout for innovative material to use at Wealthy People (We Excel At Life Through Helping Young People). We provide finanical education to high school drop outs. We also provide startup capital for our students to start a business, and partner with them to improve their chances of success. I would greatly appreciate a copy of the $100 Start-up, as I believe it might be a useful tool for our students.

  • I’ll be looking for your book on Amazon!

  • Brian Downes says:

    Hi Chris!

It would be great if you could make it to Ireland and I would love to get an advance copy of the book if possible. Either way I am an advocate for our way of thinking and if there is anything at all I can do to help I’d be more than happy to do so!

Best of luck with the launch and the tour, I have no doubt it will be awesome!!!

  • Joni says:

I was so excited to see the book on Amazon and preordered. Can’t wait to get it.
I hope to see you tour in Alabama or Tennessee soon.

  • Mike Savas says:

I just finished AONC and I LOVED it. Totally resonated with my principles. I am an avid traveler myself and have a very large circle of friends. I have been spreading the word non stop. Currently I’m in my hostel in Arenal Costa Rica about to go canyoning for my 30th bday and rather than do work emails, I am posting here! I will spread the word far and wide if you hook me up with a copy!

    Thanks Chris!

    See you in NYC!

  • I can’t wait to read this book. If chosen to receive an advanced copy, I’ll happily write a review. (Assuming I like it, of course!)

  • Ross says:

Seeing as the book is released in the UK the day before you are planning to be here, I would love to get my hands on an early release of the book!

Happy to help with the event on the day if you could use an extra pair of hands.

  • Jenn says:

I’m anxious to read the latest from Chris! You should visit the “other” Portland – in Maine!! Maybe I’ll be lucky enough to see you in Boston!

  • Nancy Urban says:

Hi! I wish you were coming to Chicago!! Even if you don’t I will be sure to post your book on my blogs, twitter and Facebook! THANKS!!!!!

  • taylor says:

We adopt and adapt your message(s) and share them with our growing audience of gastronomes early and often. At Good Food Jobs the biggest challenge we have is continually educating people about taking this ‘alternative path’ in sustainable food and navigating their own path in this uncharted territory. Your blog posts, book(s), and unconventional guides have been of great help to our audience and we hope to continue to spread the word on your new (and particularly pertinent) release. May we feature you for a “Live Chat” on our website?. We think it will be a useful ‘stop’ on your book tour, as we have many aspiring food entrepreneurs browsing our site.

  • Hey Chris – here’s why I would love a little sneak peek at the £100 Startup:
    – The things I have learned In your art of non conformity book have already helped me to redefine my own little £100 start up, renegotiate client relationships n have won me a 6 month extension to a current contract so imagine what could happen If I had the chance to read this book too!
    – my company is in Engagement and I have signed up to assist you in London (have many local contacts, suppliers n also make wicked cupcakes, cake pops n cookies which I can bring on the day) so would be good to know exactly what I can help to promote
    – am working with the charity sector in the UK on providing support to overstretched workers (read angry, tired n frustrated people who wanted to make a difference but spend most of their time pushing paper!) and I have access to many people who are looking to pursue entrepreneurship either as individuals or to move their charity work into social enterprise do could recommend to them!
So that why…oh, and, You Rock!

  • I work with Senior Executives in corporate America….many of whom are considering career enrichment, change, increased responsibilities or retirement….
Your work seems a natural resource to complement their quest for satisfaction…and may even help them be better leaders within their own venue.
Looking forward to hearing you on your visit to Chapel Hill

  • Artist Plotting Escape says:

This is excellent news, Chris! Can’t wait to see what I can learn. Could not be better timing as I have ideas running around in my head and needed info on how to get them started. Definitely have to share the word with my friends.

  • Jim Johnson says:

I’m so glad that you’re going to be coming through Houston! People skip this place far too often, but it’s a perfect choice for you because of the huge focus this town has on entrepreneurship. I’ve already tweeted and will continue as the date approaches, and I’ll see how many folks I can drag along from the theatre world – every actor is a little start up, so I’ll be passing the word on to all of my students and to folks who follow my site internationally and to all the locals I’m tied into. I’d love a copy of the book so that I can get it signed and make it my pass-around copy (since I’ll also be getting it on Kindle for myself.) Looking forward to seeing you, Chris!

  • Erica says:

    Great! I’m in =)

  • Just a quick extra note as you are coming to the UK in May, if you would like to book some extra tour dates, I could hook you up with some great events n venues in Eastbourne and Brighton (as well as other East Sussex locations). We could promise you lots of unusual venues (used in the Harry Potter series), fish and chips on the beach and all the seaside has to offer as well as some great opportunities for a run along 20 miles of the South Downs National Park n Seven Sisters cliffs & Beachy Head and some really original book ‘caves’ instead of shops. Let me know if you’re interested. Cathetine

  • Kate Holland says:

I’d love to help with the setup for the May 8th event in NYC — very proud to welcome you to this fair city, and very excited to read the new book! Thanks, Kate

  • Ross says:

Hey Chris, I’d love to help out with the book promo. Let me know what I can do!

  • Eric says:

Very excited for your return to Denver Chris! This one is at the very top of my reading list. After AONC, I started a life list and have already completed more goals that I would have thought possible.

  • Mike Nummerdor says:

When you come to Wisconsin I will ride over to Milwaukee and take you, as my guest, to the Harley Davidson Museum… and introduce you to some excellent beer made as only the good folks in Milwaukee can!

Additionally, I will promote your book to friends and associates who also ride motorcycles and are fiercely independent thinkers.

  • Jaco Viljoen says:

I would really love a copy, following you from South Africa
    Make it an awesome day.

  • In short, you have inspired me. I have followed you for quite some time. My thoughts have been galvanized many times over. I have lent your book to different people as well as taken the information and used it to empower others. I will support the new one the same way. I will attend in NYC and I would love a copy. It would be a grand pleasure!!!

  • Melanie says:

I run a book review blog and would love to review the book there, as well as cross-post the review on Amazon.

  • Mike says:

Although I wish you were visiting San Diego on the tour, a drive up the coast with a tray of freshly-baked brownies sounds like a good way to spend May 31st!

  • Ryan says:

I would love to help out in some capacity but you guys aren’t coming to Pittsburgh & I would drive out to Columbus if it was a weekend.

Regardless, Anyway i can help spread the word, let me know even if you guys don’t pass through

  • Kristen says:

I would love to win a copy of the book!!

  • Lisa says:

Chris – you build excitement and inspiration with everything you touch! You seem to have the Midas touch of a) getting the message right so it’s repeatable, understandable, and simple; b) hitting the nail on the head with your insight into what society needs, what people need, and what makes everything better! and c) marketing, communicating, convincing, heck – making everyone want to follow you. I am proud to follow you and would love a copy of your book so I can absorb it, promote it, and SHARE IT with others.

    Pick me!

  • tynan says:

I plan on being at the Houston event and would love to help out in any way! I’m a photographer and would like to photograph the event for you and promote locally.

  • Chelsea Bell Eady says:

I have been a loyal reader for at least 3 years, and have read all of your free Ebooks, as well as purchasing Art & Money, and a couple of other products. (I also use you as an example for my students.)

Please consider giving me a copy of your new book – it is just up my alley!

Looking forward to meeting you on the book tour. 🙂 I will be happy to provide yummy, gluten-free cupcakes at your Vancouver stop over.

  • heather says:

Cannot wait to see you in NYC!

I’m a ‘technomad’ and was traveling the country for over the past year before settling into Brooklyn. But I just gave my company notice, and on May 1st I’ll be pursuing my dreams (personal and professional) and imagine I’ll be hitting the road again.

Can’t wait to kick it off by seeing you/meeting you! AONC has been a recurring source of inspiration.

If I was given the book in advance, I’ll blog and tweet about it, review it on GoodReads. And just spread the good word any way I can. (I’ve already tweeted about the tour!)

  • Le Minxxx says:

    Chris….You’re Awesome!

Whether I get your book for free or not – I’ll still read it several times.

It’s inspiring. It’s motivating. You’re like that best friend everyone needs when they need to be shaken to wake up and just “open” their eyes.

  • Roberta says:

Congratulations on making it to the final stretch. I’m looking forward to reading your new book and sharing it’s release with my 10,000 most intimate friends. Hope to meet you in Santa Cruz!

  • barbara says:

You aren’t coming to Oklahoma!! Agh!!! We need you here! Anyway, I’d love a copy of the book. Your message resonates with me, and I know I’ll be living my dream someday of setting my own hours and working to my schedule.

    Thank you!!

  • rani says:

Would love a copy of your book. I consider myself a “Rani” of all trades and dabble in just about everything…the only problem is that none of them really stick…or I have too many to concentrate on one….your blog has helped me gain insight into productivity and no doubt your book will help me earn and do more with less!!! Hope I am one of the chosen 100. Will try to stop by and say hey on one of your tour stops…although I live in a small podunct town in the California called Los Osos…but no bears here!

  • My name is James Patrick and I was an instant fan of your book The Art of Non-Conformity! I would love a copy of your new book as I am anxious to apply the principles into my career as a freelance photographer. I would like to assist you in promoting your Phoenix, AZ appearance to my network as well as through my own blog in where I develop articles weekly.

  • Lisa says:

I am so glad you have chosen to come to Milwaukee. You are both influential and inspirational. Thank you!!! I will be there – bringing lots of friends!

  • RO says:

My mind is travelling but my body is stuck here….I want to liberate my body so that it can be with my mind!

  • Jenna Avery says:

Chris, I’d love to post a written Q&A interview with you on my blog about the book. I’d want to include something about your process of writing it and your writing habits, which would be of great interest to my readers.

If that’s of interest, let me know. I’ll see you in SF on 5/30 for sure.

  • I love the concept of The $100 Startup. I work with a lot of clients that don’t believe they can leave their job and start living their passion. The last job I had was in 2006, a great company to work for, with excellent pay, but I just love having my own business and helping others start theirs. It’s not easy all the time, but I lived in Jamaica seven months out of the year, last year, wouldn’t have been able to do that with a 9-5. Would love to read/review the book and share with my clients and more.

  • Lena says:

Very excited about your book! Have you thought of publishing/translating the book into Russian? One of my many hats is that of a translator! I know many Eastern European entrepreneurs, who are eager for ideas and themes that you cover. I am also connected to one of the largest Russian-speaking online communities at – many of whom are quite adept at non-conformity.

  • Aaron says:

At first as I was scrolling down and down and down through all of the people who are so avidly inspired by you, I was discouraged. I was discouraged for my own benefit. But to be absolutely honest, seeing all of these people who you have struck inspiration within is truly amazing. You have done great work and I am incredibly excited to read the new book.
I have read The Art of Non-Conformity several times to help me push forward in my journeys and I often gift it to people that I feel can use your ideas.

    Best regards, Aaron

  • Kelly says:

The $100 Startup sounds great. I look forward to reading it.

Our company follows your blog and Twitter account.

    Keep up the good work.

  • g says:

happy to help kickoff in NY – and would love a book!

  • g says:

(kickoff can also be interpreted to include sugary cakes)

  • Would love a book and am keen to help out when you come to London!!

  • Andrea says:

Add more tour dates in Europe! Cologne is the place you should come to. I would love to help you promote your book in Germany 🙂

  • I’m a little late on this but I’m looking forward to your book. Your emails are some of the sole few I read consistently from bloggers/marketers. I find your writing to be a persistent supportive message and I was grateful for it as I struggled through building my dream business 3 months ago, my small fitness playground in NYC.

  • Jenn says:

I wish I could help out with the Boston event! I have a final from 2 to 4 in Salem so it depends on what time the event starts. Let me know?

Also, if I got a book I’d blog about it and lend it to everyone in my book circle! Good luck! It sounds amazing!

  • Mike Gusky says:

Looking forward to your Columbus visit. I would be happy to help promote. I am about 2 hours away from Columbus but plan on spreading the word.

  • Karla says:

I’d love an advanced copy! To help promote it, I would (after I read it) write about it on my website, Tweet and Facebook it out to all my friends.

Are you coming to SW Florida? Let me know if you need help with any events!

  • Melissa says:

Would totally love a copy of the book! Was super excited to read about it’s release but currently have no budget to buy any new books. Anyway, what would I do to help promote this little gem? Write a review of the book on my blog.

  • Agnes says:

I was hoping you would stop by Omaha again. Definitely a pleasure to have you visit.

I would love a copy of the book. I’ve been looking forward to reading how I can have a Startup Company with $100 as opposed to the >$1,000 I would need for a bio-business, which is my long-term plan.

I am attending Big Omaha May 9-11, one of the biggest conferences on innovation and entrepreneurship. I can help promote the book during the conference. Someone mentioned Big O is similar to SXSW in many aspects but more focused.

If I’m not one of the lucky 100, I will still purchase the book regardless. I’m looking forward to all the case studies.

  • Bart says:

Really curious what you can teach us! Come on with that book!

  • heidi says:

hey Chris where in London will your book launch be held? Foyles? Happy to help promote you before you get to blighty. Looking forward to your new book!

  • I’d love to get an advance copy of the book! I would prepare reviews for my various websites, Tweet about it on several of my Twitter accounts on a regular/on-going basis (my personal account has about 1700 followers), review it for Amazon, and submit an article or press release to my local paper. Really, anything your tour folks might like, I’d love to give it a go!

  • Carminelitta says:

I can’t say I have been a long time follower, but you are a great inspiration to me and I am very excited to meet you in London on May 25th (the day after my birthday). I would love to help you spread the word about your book in any way I can.

  • Josh says:

I would love a copy too Chris 😀
I have a large presence in the social media world (and in person) and I will share this book with any/everyone I know. It looks great!

  • Wyman says:

I promise to read it immediately and leave a review on Amazone like I did with your last book. I don’t have a big list to tweet to . I will sign up for the pre sale and give one of the coppies away. I enjoyed the class and look forward to reading the book.

Am I the only one in Las Vegas? Leave a comment on my blog to let me know. I would love to get together with others here if there are any. When I sponsored a Seth Godin event only two showed up. The old man, Wyman

  • Ann Simmons says:

Look forward to seeing you in L.A. and look forward to reading the book!

  • Alain says:

Ready for my Encore Career in your backyard. I’d love a copy. Happy to share with my good friends at Hands On Greater Portland, the Hands On network and SCRAP. Let me know how I can help with the June 6th event.

  • Hutchy says:

Whatever you do, do not send me a copy of the book! If you do i will read it,highlight and scribble on it, maybe make some origami out of it and sell them for 20c out your Calgary gig, probably share it with others, blog about it, and come on June 20th ready to discuss why the title should be “The $84.58 Startup”.

    Good luck!

  • Alan Li says:

I am a reader from Hong Kong! Yes I am from Hong Kong. I first knew you from the simplified Chinese version of your book the art of non-confirmity. I like the book and I always share the stories quoted in the great book. Though I know that the book tour is confined to US and Canada, I believe that your mission is to spread your message and influence more people in the world. If I get the book I will definitely share the book to my friends and communities, and paste the link in social media so that this great book can be reached by potential Asian fans. Small action will make a big difference!

  • Erich says:

Chris -I’d love to help spread the word about the book and event
in Columbus. I work with two groups of people who are in transition

and get some folks to head up from cincinnati.

Hope to hear from you – off to Amsterdam, Paris and Wolfsburg!

  • Ron says:

    Great socks!

  • Steve says:

I loved your first book! I already ordered an advance copy, so I would give a free book to my under employed son.

I would gladly spread the word through Facebook, friends, work networks and my own websites.

Thanks for all the great content you put out. I’m an older guy (53) but I feel like part of your tribe 🙂

  • Stephanie says:

I have signed up to see you in Boston. My best friend and future world dominator will bring whoopie pies! There’s nothing better than reading a great new book and eating a delicious whoopie pie 🙂

  • Sam Gisyer says:

I am currently in the process of starting a financial services business that will help people learn how to recover money and expenses by investing the very same companies that they are spending their hard earned cash on such as the oil industry…..high gas prices. I am so looking forward to reading The $100 Startup to learn anything that will assist me in my quest yo help people better their financial status!

  • Des says:

Hey Chris. Would love to definitely get my hands on an advanced copy of your book. I am in Perth, Australia and I can help promote your book through my big community on my facebook and twitter pages.

I run a entrepreneurial networking group with meetups regularly so I can push your book through there as well and discuss topics in regards to your new book.

I also just commenced some small classes in the ‘new’ Myanmar to teach the Burmese people a bit about business so theres always an opportunity for your new book to become great material to be used as a basic platform.

Love what you’re doing. Good luck!

  • Yolo says:

  • Jerry says:

I think this kind of book can literally change the world- it can free kids from thinking they have to be McDrones, adults from years of programming, and enable artists to stop being misled by the idea they are only valid if their work “sells. You need to come to New Mexico, where they think a little differently, and where poverty has a grip on way too many minds! I’m always turning people onto the blog, the travel secrets, and I’ll help any way I can!

  • Paul says:

What? No Albuquerque? We are part of American you know, no passport required!

  • Tom Farr says:

I’d love to read the book early. I’d like to know how to start my own business because I have a large family and I’d like to help support my family better as well as make a positive impact on the world.
I would review the book on my blog and plug it heavily on there and through my twitter account.

  • Happy to help in the Seattle area in June.

  • I’m in such flux at the moment and just know this would breathe new hope into some long-held dreams. Live in Pasadena but know the entirety of Los Angeles (and most of SoCal) in intimate detail, from niche markets to tribes to neighborhoods. Just give a shout for what you need most while you’re here…what I lack in hard cash, I definitely make up for in contacts and resources. Be glad to help.

  • I’d love to win a copy because I am starting my own business on a very tight budget and I could use all the inspiration and guidance possible.

I live in Zurich, Switzerland and I’d love to help you promote your book over here. I’d be able to secure a great venue for a book presentation and my hubby is superb at marketing. So, we’d definitely help to spread the word. I’d blog about it, podcast about it and talk about wherever I can.

  • Cliona Lynch says:

The offer of a thousand amazing home-made brownies still stands if you make it to Dublin! (Otherwise, see you in London 🙂

  • Matt MacLaughlin says:

Looking forward to Arlington — I live south of Richmond, VA in an area with a lot of military folks (old and not so old) — great audience for the book — if there is anything I can do just ask — already passing on the word to those who are looking for something — a lot of frustrated folks out there so I’m passing the information on with every chance I get

  • Claire L. says:

Hi! I live in the Charlotte area, and would love to come to your Chapel Hill stop, but being a minor, too young to drive, and my parents not being very happy with the non-conformity thing, it’s probably not going to happen. If you came to Charlotte, I might be able to get my grandmother to take me but, other than that, no. I really love your blog though, it’s both inspirational and practical.

  • Hutchy says:

Another idea would be to see see if we can send the book around the world faster than Chris by passing it around AONC readers. By that i mean, we’ve got a year to send it to 193 countries and back to Portland and Chris, proof is by a postage stamp fixed to the back pages. Even better if we could track its progress on the blog.

I can get it to a heap of nations, c’mon Chris start the book rolling.

  • Mahlah says:

I would absolutely love to get the book. You have been such an inspiration to me and others around me. I love sharing your articles and website with friends and family through both email and facebook. Super excited that you’re coming to Calgary!! YAY!! <3

  • Pamela M. says:

I love your website! I dont”t see Alaska on your list…so I have put you on my vision board of interesting people I would love to meet 🙂

  • Jeff Wilson says:

Would love to receive an advance copy of your book and help you promote it in Iowa, one of the hottest tech start-up regions in the country right now. I am also fluent in Spanish and could help you reach the Hispanic market anywhere in the U.S. or Mexico.

  • Jaime Gutierrez says:

I’m an ESL teacher from Puerto Rico. I’m inspired by your travels and eager to read this new book. Wish you the best. And thanks for all you share.

  • angela says:

So looking forward to your next book. Love reading your blog and following your travels. I’m happy to help organize a reading at the local bookstore while you’re in town. CHeers for all you do.

  • Tara says:

Would love an advanced copy of your book! I’m well connected in Hawaii: I own my own social media business (, am a business writer and blogger (, and am involved in several professional organizations for small business owners. First and foremost, would use your book to generate book reviews for mine and clients’ blogs (at least three), and would disseminate via Twitter and Facebook. Looking forward to reading it!

    Tara Zirker

  • Aaron says:

Just signed up for the Chapel Hill stop. Can’t wait to dig into this book and blaze a new path. I’m willing to promote in any way I can, tweet, fbook, blog…

  • Books looks great, looking forward to you coming to Boston.

  • Chris, I’m planning on walking across America next year. My biggest challenge has been funding. My goal conflicts with the financial stability of my family, unfortunately.

My husband & I have been discussing starting our own business as a way to help supplement our meager fixed income. We’ve been trying to figure out what we can implement successfully that requires little to no start-up. We’ve got a few ideas, but not enough know how.

I would be happy to blog about trying out the strategies in the book as we do them, since people ask me all the time how it is I’m going to be able to financially pull off living my dream of exploring this great country on foot.

If a $100 startup can enable me to do that (or at least help fund the trip so I’m not TRULY becoming a hobo), then I would love to be able to share that information with my readers. They’re a supportive bunch, & they deserve it.

Come to think of it, whether you give me an advance copy or not, I plan on getting my hot little hands on your book ASAP & I’ll likely blog about my experiences trying to make my dreams come alive either way. I look forward to reading your book!

  • I am signed up for the May 18th in Denver Colorado. I look forward to seeing you there and meeting you. I will be promoting this on Facebook and Twitter. I will also be bringing my camera. I am looking forward to getting my book that I ordered in the mail. Do you know what the times will be?

    Have a great day.

  • Candace says:

Ok! Now that I’ve finished reading your whole post, if I had an advanced copy, I would talk about it on FB, write a review for you, write a review on my just-started blog, and of course tell everyone I know about the book, and it’s impact on me!

  • Simon says:

Glad to see you are fitting Canada in part of your tour!

I am relocating to NYC just literally a week before you come through. I can’t wait to FINALLY come talk to you!

I am moving to NYC to work as Vice-President of Finance (1yr term) for the worlds largest student ran not-for-profit (AIESEC) and would love to read your book. Our organization is full of over 60,000 actively engaged university students who love to travel, innovate, and experience life which is pretty fitting to your key target market.

If not I’ll just have to buy it when it comes out. Anyways, hope to see you in New York!

  • santosh says:

Looking forward to the book and the tour. Keep up the good work Chris. Independent artists unite!

  • JL says:

Hi Chris, I’d be interested in reviewing your book for Networking in Vancouver. I’m a new writer for that website, which has a broad audience of young professionals, entrepreneurs, and mid-career changers. I have my own motley set of connections on Twitter and LinkedIn (students, freelancers, creatives, business professionals, researchers, and moms who fit into two or more of these categories) who are interested in new ideas, change and personal/professional development. I saw your tweet about co-launching with Danielle LaPorte. It would be cool to write a double stacked review about both books to get the local scene excited! Cheers, JL

  • Joe says:

I’ve read your book AONC and am very interested in reading your next book “The $100 Startup”. Your writing reflects so many things that ring true for me. Keep up the good work.

  • Shelley says:

Hi Chris! As someone who works with small business and budding entrepreneurs, I can’t wait to share this book with clients and friends!
I’ve signed up to co-host the Calgary event and will make this event my priority until the 20th!
Thanks for the opportunity to be involved!

  • Laura says:

I’d love to help you promote in London! I can help by spreading the word at the Google offices (1200 entrepreneurial folks many of whom I know for a fact are as big of a fan as I am), among the Ivy League alumni group (400+ influencers spread throughout London who can share news of the event with their networks), and among JCI London (a group for young professionals that includes many aspirational entrepreneurs). I can also work with the organizers of Campus, London’s new hub for entrepreneurs near Old Street, to get the word out to their entrepreneur community.

Send me an early copy and let’s spread the word about the event!!!

  • greg ryan says:

Howdy Chris, I’d be happy to assist you here when you get to Milwaukee. I’m thinking photography but I’m open to suggestion…
Also, if you’d like me to video stream your presentation, I’d be happy to do that too…

  • Valerie Urso says:

I’d love to help with the Miami effort- I can do event photography and publicize the book through social media online and physically on the Miami Dada Kendall campus (fiance goes there).

Are you going to have a generic flyer type deal we could hang up? I do graphic design work and could help make something with an empty box for adding various city details for sites on the tour if you don’t have something like that already in the works. Oh, also I’d love a book but I already signed up for pre-order on Amazon and don’t want to take one of a few advance copies if you’re limited on numbers.

  • Angie Parker says:

I would love to have a copy of your book! Can’t wait to see you in the ATL…

  • damn! i might be too late on this, but I’d love to get a copy of your new book ! I’d be happy to Tweet and Facebook the hell out of it for you!

  • Najeeb says:

Hi Chris, I would love to help out by promoting the book. There are a lot of people within my circle of friends who are in the same mindset and would really benefit from this book. I hope I can help, see you in Toronto.

I hope this message reaches in time since I just had access to internet after 6 days of hiking in Venezuela.

  • Ryan says:

I just read your 279 days to Overnight Success report, after reading about it in an interview from Steve Kamb at, and I’ve been pouring over your site all morning. I would love to win an advance copy of your new book because I am starting my own blog very soon and would also love to start my own side business on a (tight!) budget. I would tell EVERYONE I know here in Australia all about the book and your website!

    Keep up the good work.

  • Kevin P says:

I was very inspired by your first book and am joining my wife in beginning a start up so she can use her passion for art and writing on a daily basis. We have shared your website and first book with friends and family.

  • Debra Hawkins says:

Hi! A good friend just turned me on to your site and your upcoming book! I am very excited and eager to volunteer and help out. I will be available in Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill at the time of the tour and able to help out in whatever way may be useful. I and my partner are part of the craft brewery scene/renaissance in the Triangle and can definitely promote the book to that community (seems like a new startup every other week!) as well as to the local SCORE chapter who are doing great things for new businesses locally. (The local/sustainable movement in business is big here!)

Being a newly unemployed & undercapitalized entrepreneur/retail refugee, a copy of the book would be welcome, though i’m happy to help either way. 🙂 Thanks and best wishes! D. Hawkins, Durham

  • Isaak says:

When you come to Australia I’ll give you a hand!! 🙂

  • Jason Tapley says:

I would like to help you out with your new book and tour. I would like a copy of your book The $100 Startup because as I am really interested in getting out from underneath of working for someone else and getting this going for our family. I’d like to see it take off somewhere musically and with travel. We’ll see.
In May, I plan to use twitter to promote your work with the hashtag #StartUpNow or #$100StartUp

Hope to see you add more stops to your 22 location book tour.

  • David says:

I’m very much looking forward to the book, and would love a copy.

My plan for spreading the word is to focus on qualified leads by tying it in to conversations I’ve previously had with coworkers and friends (of which I’ve had about a dozen conversations on this topic). I live in Silicon Valley, and everyone seems to be interested in going off on their own at some point, meaning there’s plenty of room for word to spread just beyond that circle.

But I’d focus on people who I’ve spoken with about this topic first.

Best of luck with the tour and launch.

  • Mamta says:

I have 12 FB pages and 6 groups totaling to over 15000 people.
I am based in New Delhi,India.I can share about your book on all the pages and tweet about it.
I can also sell the book from my store. We have 45 brands from all across India, all from the start up space,of fashion and lifestyle including a new comic book.
I mentor, assist, consult, guide, network with start ups and my own current business is a 4th start up….the first being 28 years ago and I have started all over again from point zero.
I have been following your blog and receiving your newsletter for 2 years and forwarding it to 100’s of people.I hope to meet you someday:) All the Best.God bless

  • Bettina says:

    Hi Chris,
Come to Berlin! You can stay on my couch. There are tons of start-ups and entrepreneurs here, a perfect fit for your message.
I want to read your book!

  • Jen says:

I am so excited to read your next book Chris!

  • David Bailey says:

I’ll be happy to pay for your book. Please let me know how to purchase one

    David Bailey

  • Elsy S. says:

I would love to have an advance copy of the book! As soon as it comes out (even before that), I’ll be talking it up at the bookstore I work at and making sure we have it in stock. I’m very excited for this book!!!!

  • John Mathews says:

Can’t wait to read the book and looking forward to seeing you come out to LA.

  • Roy Green says:

    Hi Chris.
I’m starting my business this month, and am looking forward to your book!

  • Guylaine says:

    Hey there !
Looks like I am not the only one who wishes to help you out ! I just returned from a trip to Jordan and was actually spreading the word about AONC to people I met. Unfortunately, you don’t seem to return to Montreal, where last time was a great hit !!! I would love to help in reviewing, promoting, entertaining…. Thanks for launching your ideas in the world ! Keep rocking the universe 🙂

  • Sean says:

Can’t wait to read the book 🙂

  • tatiana says:

Oh, I want a copy of the book! How will you choose people though? :3

  • Jane Boyd says:

Sure hoping to see you in Vancouver 🙂 Can’t wait to read this book….seems every time I turn around another person in my family is starting up a business. I’m raising kids who will likely all be entrepreneurs…just seems to be who we are!

  • Tom says:

I’d love an advance copy of my book because I’ll graduate from college on May 19, and am interested in start-ups and entrepreneurialism because I believe people need to be willing to work hard for their own success, and that everyone should always have a project (or projects) that are their passion. I know that unconventional thinking is the key to success in this economic climate, and I know that you’re a trusted voice when it comes to unconventional. After reading, I’d love to talk about what I gleaned from the book on Facebook, Twitter and in-person with my peers – who, arguably, are the group that could benefit the most from reading your work. Best of luck with the launch.

  • Jennifer says:

I’d love to get an early copy of the book! I love following your adventures. I am just a small town girl who over the last few years has developed the confidence to travel solo. I find your travels and writing to be very inspirational. Thanks for sharing your life and passion with us. 🙂

  • Doug Orr says:

I’ll be driving 4 hours round trip to attend Chris’s book event in Columbus Ohio. A free book would be great – I’m a huge fan!!!

  • Ainslie says:

Hi Chris I would love to help promote your book as I believe in your message and passion.

Your new book would also promote a common message I have with online courses – that the best ideas, the ones that will provide a profitable and passionate business don’t have to cost a lot of money

How will I promote your book? I would create a mini course based on the book complete with prompts, actions and reflection. The mini course would be written as a blog post so everyone can have access to it.

Because the greatest compliment to an author is when readers put their ideas into action find success.

  • Derrick says:

    1. You aren’t coming to Indianapolis (bummer considering we just hosted the Super Bowl, and we’re becoming a hot-bed for startups!)

    2. You could use some rad evangelists to spread the message on your behalf

    3. I’ve started an organization that helps urban entrepreneurs with little access to capital/resources, and they are the audience that would significantly benefit from your book. We’ve attracted over 100 entrepreneurs to our workshops and we’re expanding. I cannot think of a better audience to be exposed to this book!

    4. Seriously, why not Indianapolis!?

  • Marc Ensign says:

Squeeking by hopefully before time runs out! I was first introduced to your stuff with you eBook and fell in love with your work…in a completely heterosexual way. Would love to win the book so I feel like my time spent leaving this comment was worthwhile, but if not I’ll be buying it anyway. That doesn’t mean you can’t not pick me for the guaranteed sale!!!!

  • Dave Wakeman says:

    I’m in Washington DC.

I’d like a copy of the book because I’m curious to read the ideas in the book and try to implement them. Plus, if they work, I’d like to pass the ideas on to people I work with in the homeless community.

I’m happy to help promote your appearance in DC in my neighborhood by leaving flyers in public places. I’d also be happy to push out message of your appearance on my blog, Facebook and twitter. I’d also be happy to bring some snacks.

  • Shenee says:

Hi Chris! Will actually see you in HOUSTON! 🙂 Change o’ scenery, you know!

I want to share the book with people outside this community. I know so many friends who want to start businesses and have no idea how to start or what to do and I think this would be a great book for them to read! 🙂

  • Lukasz Gaciag says:

It’s a shame I won’t be nearby when you stop in Calgary but have you considered a world tour?
Can’t wait to apply what i learn in this book!

  • One for me please!

  • Laura Simms says:

Congrats, Chris! Would love to help co-host in Los Angeles, and get the word out to the entertainment community–lots of bootstrappers & innovators– who probably don’t know about you yet. I have a pal with a list of 9,000 actor/writer types, and could try to get you in front of them.

  • Giselle says:

Your visit to Oz had been short and sweet. Next time you’re around town, I’ll bake cupcakes for the meetups!

  • Rod Burkert says:

Congrats on the $100 Startup! Would love to read and review a copy of the book for Facebook fans and GoPetFriendly blog readers (we have a few). I will give my copy away to a lucky winner.

My wife and I travel full time in an RV with our two dogs, promoting our startup. This spring we will be in New England. Hope to catch your show in Boston!

  • LA Finfinger says:

Highly recommend coming to Pittsburgh, PA. There’s an abundance of creative, talented folks who’d LOVE the idea of this book – I do.

  • John Meussner says:

As with AONC, I look forward to another great inspiration, & some great ideas.
Would love a free copy for myself, but regardless, plan on buying a few copies as gifts for like-minded associates & friends- very much looking forward to the book!

  • Patti says:

Can’t believe you are really including Columbus on the tour! I signed up to co host and will definitely promote on facebook and twitter

  • Brittany says:

I wish I could send you a screen shot of my current bank account. $100 start up speaks my language.

Also, I’ve given away 7 copies of AONC. After reading it I took a 66 day cross-country road trip.

    Inspired? Hell yes.

  • Brady Paron says:

Chris! I read your AONC book 1 year ago and loved it. It was part of my year and a half long project of discovering and making choices about a career focus, and it has definitely been inspiring to me to follow your progress and your blog.

I have goals to start a business that is globally minded and socially conscious, although I haven’t chosen what yet, and so it won’t be for a few more years.

I’d love to check out your new book! Best of luck with your release with Danielle LaPorte!

  • Hibes says:

I truly enjoy your website, you inspire me a lot! wishing this book gets to as many people as possible 🙂

  • Mike Jutan says:

PS. Given the power of time off (and how awesome travel hacking and world exploration is), I’m taking a month off from work and I get back to San Francisco like RIGHT after you come through here. Darn. Would love to have met you in person. Hope to catch ya next book tour 🙂

  • Nancy says:

I’d be happy to help you in Portland, Chris. Perhaps I could bake some cupcakes that taste like your favorite country. =)

  • Jadranka says:

Looking forward to read the book

  • marie wright says:

Love your news letters. Very informative and inspirational. Glad I stumbled upon it!!! Would love to read your new book. What time and place will you be in NYC n 5/8?

  • C. Pierce says:

Hi Chris, I quit my job (that I hated), started to travel with my filmmaker husband and created my own business online on a shoestring budget. I have been exercising and living a healthy lifestyle for 25 years and decided to put my love for wellness and my retail management experience to work for me while being mobile at the same time. I also created a blog to promote the business in addition to sharing all of my health and wellness tips and ideas. I love my life, but need a kickstart to expand my website with new concepts and ideas so I have signed up to attend your NYC book tour. I would LOVE an advance copy of $100 StartUp and to get one, I will promote you & your tour everyday on Twitter (I have over 800 followers & growing). I will also help at the function in any way that I can, such as maybe bringing one of my healthy dishes along? So excited to meet you, I will be with my friend Amy Mayes (photographer NYC). Thanks so much for the positive motivation to change for the better!! @skinnyhealthgal

  • Nate says:

I would like a copy of your book so I can further brainstorm different business ideas. I would like to start up a online business, but my background is in construction and I’m not sure where to start.

  • Sarah Salas says:

I would love to help out in Columbus!! I am new to your site and am loving all of the articles and having my perspective changed! I will help out in any way I can and will happily promote the book on my facebook, Linked in and college Alumni sites.

  • AJ says:

Congrats on the new book! It is a great idea – $100 start to a business. I will help promote your Chapel Hill visit with fellow small business owner wannabes (classmates in seminars/workshops at our Community College and students in classes I teach that might consider doing their own thing instead of trying to get a job.)

  • Savvy Scot says:

Massive Congrats – I will be your contact in London and the UK 😀

  • Pre-ordered it… can’t wait!!! Congrats!

  • Chris says:

Looking forward to LA stop. Keep up the awesome work!

  • Would love to see a copy of this. Realize you are going to be doing a presentation on May 8, 2012 in New Work City in New York.

  • Derek Wyatt says:

Were the winners selected for the $100 Startup Book yet?

  • Derek Wyatt says:

    Awesome! Congrats to them!
