The big day has arrived!
Greetings from North Dakota, where I’m riding along the Empire Builder train en route to Montana, Washington, and eventually my home in Portland.
As promised, the Empire Building Kit is now live. This project will help a select group of people build a sustainable lifestyle business in one year by doing one thing every day.
Read more or order your own copy here.
This initial launch is strictly limited to 24 hours only.

Three Options. In an effort to serve people with different plans, desires, and budgets, I’ve created three versions of the kit. I think the middle one (Hail Caesar) will probably serve most people the best, but make your own decision. There is also an Alexander the Great version to help people who are already successful entrepreneurs achieve greater scale, and an Emperor-in-Training version for aspiring conquerors on a limited budget.
Free Webinar. In about three weeks, I’ll be hosting a private webinar for everyone in the inaugural group of EBK owners. During the webinar, the new emperors can ask any question they want… which is why I’m only taking orders for the next 24 hours. (This isn’t a gimmick, and I really will close the order page and stop taking money — watch and see.)
Next month we’ll relaunch the EBK with a number of affiliate partners, but on a smaller scale here at AONC. I won’t include the live webinar, and I also reserve the right to remove some of the materials or raise the price.
As I’ve said several times: if it’s not for you, that’s OK. But if it sounds like something that will help you, don’t wait, because it won’t be available very long.
Oh, and I’ve saved a couple of fun things for the launch today:
‘Empire Builder’ Bag Giveaway. One random buyer will win a free Empire Builder laptop bag courtesy of my friends at Tom Binh bags. We’ll draw from the buyer list at 5pm PST today – about eight hours from now.
Minnesota Video Adventures. Sometime around midnight, J.D. and I recorded a video of the setup we’re using to work from the train. Check it out here if you’d like.

Amtrak Birthday Party
On a side note, it’s also my birthday today. I don’t expect the entire world to care about my birthday, but two facts are worth noting:
1) Turning the old age of 32 may or may not produce the mysterious quality of “maturity” (let’s hope not), but it does mean that I officially have only three years left to go in my quest to visit every country in the world. Three years, sixty-two countries, and most of them are fairly difficult to get to—but so far, so good.
2) For a long time I didn’t want people to know when my birthday was because of some bad things that happened around that time when I was a kid. Whenever the first week of April rolled around, I’d try to find anything I could do other than think about cake or parties. Mostly, I tried to keep it a secret because I didn’t want any attention.
I wouldn’t say I’m crazy about birthdays now, but you know, people can change in their old age. So here I am on my appointed day of April 7th, writing to fun people from all over the world who mean a lot to me. Thanks for reading and sharing part of your life with me.

Alright, that’s all for now. It looks like our itinerary today will take us through Montana and on to Spokane, Washington late tonight. If you want the EBK, here is the info. If not, no worries.
Wishing you well from the rails,

P.S. Our internet access on the train is quite limited, but I’ll do my best to post your comments and monitor the shopping cart throughout the day.
