Every Friday is giveaway day. Comment to win!

Up for the win is this awesome scarf from Krama Wheel, founded by traveler and entrepreneur Roni Sivan. Every Krama Wheel scarf sold secures the making of a new school uniform for a young Cambodian student who otherwise couldn’t afford it.

This small business was inspired by Roni’s travels through Cambodia. Krama Wheel supports the local scarf makers by paying them fairly, while also paying local seamstresses to sew school uniforms for children.

Be sure to check them out on Facebook. You can also learn more on Roni’s blog, Possibility of Visit.

What you need to know:

  • Krama Wheel scarves are sweatshop-free and individually crafted by a small team of Cambodian women. Everything from the dying of the thread to the individually sewn tags is done by hand.
  • The scarves are available in a range of colors and designs. This giveaway is for the “Woodland Chevvy” version, a great unisex color
  • This giveaway is available to readers in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Our cats and biased judges will pick someone on Sunday night at 6pm PST

Enter this weekโ€™s giveaway by posting a comment, then check back on Sunday night. Weโ€™ll announce the winner and send them the prize!

Update: Comments are now closed. Congrats to Julia Pilant, selected by cats and a random number generator to win the Krama scarf! Everyone else, thanks for entering. Weโ€™ll have another giveaway next week.
