We’re very excited to open up the first round of ticket sales to the 2014 World Domination Summit next Wednesday morning at 9am PST / 12pm EST.
Tickets will go live at wds2014.eventbrite.com. We’ll sell 1,000 tickets on a first-come, first-served basis, and the final round of tickets won’t be available until sometime in 2014.

Three years ago we had an idea to bring together like-minded people. What started as a group of meetups throughout the U.S. and Canada became a global gathering of amazing people every summer in Portland.
We have amazing speakers, academies, breakout sessions, tours, parties, and always a few fun surprises.
For the 2014 event, we’ll be back in the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, the same main-stage venue we used for this year’s event. It’s the largest theatre in Portland and walkable to most downtown hotels.
Time to Slack Off?
I’ve had some great discussions with our core team lately. After three years of hosting WDS, which now reaches thousands of people every year, we’ve decided to slack off and take it easy for next year.
Just kidding! We’d do nothing of the sort.
In fact, bringing what feels like half the online world to an in-person event makes us feel even more excited about stepping it up in the future. We’re eager and excited to design an all-new experience for our amazing attendees.
This year, we won’t be tripling in size (we now work with Portland’s largest theatre, and book up entire hotels), but we definitely won’t be shrinking either. We’re carefully considering ways to grow into additional days of meetups and activities—all designed to foster our values of community, adventure, and service.
Once again we’ll be working for nearly a year to produce a great experience for everyone who is able to attend and participate.
If you’re not familiar with WDS, start with checking out the website and 2012 trailer. You can also see videos of many of the main-stage speakers from the past two years, or thousands of photos from three years.
Lastly, don’t take our word for it. Our attendees are our best endorsement, and the event has grown from year to year with almost no national news coverage. Take it from them! You can read hundreds of independent reviews by searching Google or Twitter, or start from this initial list of recaps from the 2013 event.
Oh, and in four years we’ve never raised prices for WDS. We may need to do so later, but for now, there’s no increase.
If this sounds exciting to you, I hope you’ll join us in Portland next year.
That’s all for now. See you again soon!
