Happy Easter from 97214

Hello everyone, and Happy Easter from my corner of the world. To friends who celebrate Passover, my thoughts are with you as well.

There’s no Sunday Store Update today, although the store itself is still there. I get notes every week from people who have started working for themselves or traveling the world thanks to my guides. I like that. More products are on the way, and I’ll explain all the details when the time comes. Today, however, I’m thinking about other things.

This morning I went out for a long run in SE Portland and around the trails of Reed College. I made it about 11 miles, I think, and in between listening to the BBC and Suzanne Vega, I thought about the people who trust me with their attention. Many of you have been reading for a long time, and I don’t take your time and attention for granted.

Over the next three weeks, a number of things will take place that should substantially increase the readership of the site. I’m really excited about each of them — details forthcoming very shortly; watch this space — but whenever rapid growth comes up on the horizon, I also like to take a step back and make sure I’m on the right track.

The way I see it, this is what I need to continue doing:

  • Value relationships and build personal connections
  • Always Expand the Pie
  • Don’t compromise or try to please everyone

My theory is that as long as I can keep doing that, I’ll be just fine. Am I right? We’ll see.

Remember this if you have your own world domination project: trust is sacred. Trust is hard to earn and easy to lose.

Once you’ve earned someone’s trust, in other words, you’d better take it seriously. I work hard at doing just that, and I’m grateful to those of you who have been keeping me sufficiently humbled and motivated.

That’s all for today. Oh, I’m also going to Haiti and South America next week. I’ll tell you more about that the day I leave.

Have an amazing week!
