Motoring through your 279 days pdf! I currently use straight paypal for my e-book, however this whole process is automated with E-junkie and includes a cart? Also when the payment is auto confirmed they can download immediately?

I love the blog and am soaking up these ideas for the next big release of my market! Maddenbible will be ready for August!

Great topic of free vs payed for as well! We do alot of free content but we don’t feel dirty selling it because it is top notch content!

It’s entirely possible that the angry email wasn’t, in a sense, directed at you. Many other hawkers of ebooks to tend to, unfortunately, be a bit on the high-pressure-bait-and-switch side of things. I’ve been on the receiving end of enough of these pitches to get a bit bristly when confronted with yet another one. (Fortunately, I’ve gotten really good at finding the “No, Thanks” link in the tiny little type in the far corner.)

I appreciate the fact that your pitch is much lower and pressure and far more aesthetically pleasing. (I could go to my grave content without seeing another ALL CAPS IN HUGE RED FONT headline . . . )

As a small business owner myself (and happy to be small) I am a believer in personal service and transparency to clients and it sets me apart from larger competitors.

I enjoy your blog and I enjoyed the transparency you used for your product launch and your sales figures.

I think too many big companies have lost sight of this in the hunt for profit.

As for that negative commenter either he did send it to the wrong person or he landed on earth by mistake.

Does the guide address the nuts and bolts of how you put the product for sale, only allowing download after payment?

Do not dwell on the negative, you are providing value for people’s money. These are not hollow written products that you are shilling. You have something of value to offer that is not something that everyone has. Your experiences are unique.

Chris, I’m glad this has been such a success for you. $4,000 in 24 hours sounds like success to me. I’m listening to the audio sessions of the guide now and finding it good to hear your voice.

I’m great at writing content, can network well-enough (I like it, actually) and know enough about SEO to draw niche traffic. My problem is selling stuff. I can’t sell to save my life. Hopefully I’ll learn enough before Travelling Europe, my first “information product”, is released in early November.

Thanks for putting together two useful guides in a row. I’m looking forward to reading more through 2009.

Thanks, guys. Yeah, I know it’s only a small minority of people who express negative feedback in such an odd way. The challenge is to continually recognize that fact, because even when most feedback is positive (by far), we naturally tend to focus on the negative. Blogging has been good for me in terms of working past that.
