In my business I would really like to scale up to a consistent $1000 per month. It fluctuates monthly but I realised I was not networking enough. I am looking too much for the “bigger clients” while the other clients who are just as important are always out there.

I smiled, reaching the words: “If you’ve read this far and don’t have a business, ..” because I haven’t any business yet. Even a micro one! But I’ve always been interested in this.
I’m in the beginning of my life-way and I have to say, my goals are very ambitious, so I’ve only just downloaded the Manifesto and this is ABSOLUTELY what I need today!

I like that 1,000.00 per month clarity. Specificity. Just like specifying goals can sometimes make all the difference in the world, being very specific in target can align focus like nothing else.
And I love the Tiger Woods quote. I am reading a book at the moment written by an editor. Some of her most successful authors begin to write their next book the very day afer they finished the last one. I am thinking they understand the value of the long view and that next 90%.

I love the post Chris, very inspiring.

My own personal goal is to broaden my audience and client base. I am doing that by becoming more active on-line and trying to provide tips and help trough my blog.

I think one way to scale up is to look at what you do and think about how those skills/products can be utilized with a different customer base.

For example… if you are in construction and the market starts slowing down, you could start building luxury dog houses for the pet obsessed (pet products are a booming market). You never know, that $1000 dog house might turn into a $500,000 construction job.
