And it is true that if you take a taxi to and from the airport you end up paying that amount, no matter if you're a romanian or a foreigner. In the end business is business for these guys. While in a day trip to Amsterdam (NL) I picked up a guide of the town and 80% of it was covering escort company advertisement. Same in other countries I've been to. It is shameful and as a woman I find it all the time degrading. Even though there is a big industry in this not all tourist want to find these sort of "pearls". Why don't you add more things about your trip to Romania. I'm sure there were other things you saw there and I hope you didn't spend all you time in Bucharest only.
